We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this cry for deliverance. The mention of demonic possession and demonic influences in music is a serious matter that requires our immediate attention and fervent prayer. First, we must acknowledge that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We stand firm in the authority given to us through Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed these principalities and powers through His victory on the cross (Colossians 2:15).
We rebuke every spirit of darkness that may be seeking to oppress or influence you. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command these forces to flee, for it is written, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). The blood of Jesus has power over all evil, and we plead the blood of Jesus over you right now, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also address the influence of demonic music in your life. The Bible warns us to be discerning about what we allow into our hearts and minds, for "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8). Music that glorifies darkness, violence, or immorality can open doors to spiritual oppression. We encourage you to fill your mind and heart with worship music that exalts God, for "God inhabits the praises of His people" (Psalm 22:3). Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16).
We notice your regret about past choices, and we want to remind you that God’s grace is sufficient to cover all our mistakes. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Do not dwell in condemnation, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Instead, turn your heart fully toward God, seeking His forgiveness and restoration.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is crying out for deliverance from demonic oppression and influences. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your holy angels and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Break every chain of darkness that has sought to bind them, and let Your light shine into every area of their life. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, declaring that they are covered and protected by the power of His sacrifice.
Father, we ask that You would cleanse their mind, heart, and spirit from any ungodly influences, including music that does not honor You. Replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth, and fill their heart with songs of worship and praise that draw them closer to You. Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds or regrets from past choices, and lead them into the fullness of Your purpose for their life.
We declare that this one is a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We stand in agreement with them, believing that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of darkness to flee and declare that this one is set free by the power of the cross. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and find support from other believers. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and it is important to surround yourself with godly influences. Continue to fill your mind with Scripture, for the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). It is your weapon against the lies of the enemy.
If you have not already, we also encourage you to renounce any past involvement with occult practices, ungodly music, or anything that may have opened doors to spiritual oppression. Confess these things to God, and ask Him to cleanse you completely. The Bible tells us, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Walk in the newness of life that Christ has given you, and do not look back.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your salvation and deliverance are found in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in walking in freedom and victory.
