We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting you up in prayer as you seek the Lord through fasting and prayer. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God, sharpens our focus on Him, and weakens the hold of the flesh. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:16-18, "Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."
We also stand with you in prayer for deliverance from any form of demonization. The enemy seeks to distract, discourage, and derail us from God’s purposes, but we have authority in Jesus Christ to resist him. James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We rebuke every spirit of distraction, weakness, or temptation that seeks to hinder your fast, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is seeking You through fasting and prayer. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen them in their inner man, that they may not grow weary or faint. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that their focus may remain solely on You and not on the desires of the flesh. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him.
Father, we ask for deliverance from every form of demonic influence or oppression. We break every chain, every lie, and every assignment of the enemy against them. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn.
Lord, grant them the grace to complete this fast according to Your will. May they experience a deeper intimacy with You, a fresh filling of Your Spirit, and a renewed sense of purpose. Let this time of fasting and prayer be a time of breakthrough, revelation, and transformation. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for answering according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word during this fast, for it is life and strength to your soul. Isaiah 58:6-9 speaks of the true fast that God desires: "Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Yahweh will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer; you will cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’"
May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him with all your heart. Stay steadfast in prayer, and remember that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.
