The Bible teaches us in Matthew 6:9, "Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.'" Our prayers should reflect the holiness of God, honoring Him with words that are pure and focused on His glory. Additionally, we are reminded in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that seek Your forgiveness and Your grace. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
