We hear your cry for deliverance and purification, and we stand with you in seeking God’s mercy and transformation. First, we must address the foundation of your request—your plea for forgiveness and help must be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood, shed on the cross, that we find forgiveness and the power to overcome sin. We rejoice that you have called upon His name, for He alone is our Redeemer and Deliverer.
The struggles you mention—lust, the works of the flesh, and the influence of ungodly music and evil influences—are real battles that many face. The Bible warns us in 1 John 2:16 that "the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life" are not of the Father but of the world. These things wage war against our souls, but we are not left defenseless. Galatians 5:16 tells us, "Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh." This is not a battle you fight alone; the Holy Spirit within you is greater than any temptation or evil influence (1 John 4:4).
We must also address the "evil eye" you mentioned. Scripture teaches us to guard our hearts and minds, for "the eye is the lamp of the body" (Matthew 6:22). If our eyes are fixed on things that are pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8), we will not be drawn into darkness. However, if we allow our eyes to linger on ungodly things—whether in music, media, or other influences—we open ourselves to spiritual corruption. We rebuke every ungodly influence that has taken root in your life, and we declare that your eyes will be fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
The music you listen to matters deeply, for it shapes your heart and mind. Ephesians 5:19 encourages us to speak to one another "in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." If the music you consume glorifies sin, lust, or rebellion against God, it will only feed the flesh. We urge you to fill your ears and heart with worship that honors God, for "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8).
Now, we come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the blood of Jesus that washes away every sin and breaks every chain. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness to flood the heart of our brother/sister who has cried out to You. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, and create in them a clean heart, O God (Psalm 51:10).
We rebuke every spirit of lust, every work of the flesh, and every ungodly influence that has taken hold. We declare that the power of sin is broken in the name of Jesus! Lord, deliver them from every evil title, every corrupt sound, and every ungodly influence that has sought to ensnare them. Burn these things to ashes by the fire of Your Holy Spirit, and let nothing remain but purity and holiness.
Father, we ask that You fill them with Your love—a love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18) and empowers them to walk in righteousness. Help them to live and behave in a manner worthy of the calling they have received (Ephesians 4:1). Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), guiding them away from temptation and toward Your perfect will.
We pray for a transformation of their mind and heart. Renew their thoughts by the power of Your Spirit, so that they may discern what is pleasing to You (Romans 12:2). Let their ears be attuned to Your voice alone, and let their eyes be fixed on Jesus, the One who overcame the world (John 16:33).
Lord, we ask that You surround them with godly influences—believers who will encourage them in their walk with You. Strengthen them to resist temptation and to flee from every appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). May they find their strength in You, for Your Word says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that they will walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them. May they be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for Your glory.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take practical steps to walk in this freedom. Surround yourself with godly music, Scripture, and fellowship with believers who will hold you accountable. Memorize God’s Word so that you can stand firm against temptation (Psalm 119:11). And remember, you are not alone—God is with you, and so are we, standing in agreement for your deliverance and victory. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.
