We join with you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and deliverance, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your heart’s cry for forgiveness is heard by our Heavenly Father, who is rich in compassion and abounding in love toward those who call upon Him in truth.
You have rightly come before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace, and we rejoice that you have acknowledged this truth in your prayer. We also take this moment to encourage you: if you have not already surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). If this is already your testimony, we praise God for your faith!
Now, concerning the soul ties and the influence of the "evil eye" you mention, we stand with you in agreement that these are real spiritual battles that require the power of Christ to break. Soul ties—unnatural, sinful bonds formed through relationships, emotional dependencies, or even past sins—can hinder our walk with God. The Bible warns us, *"Don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, ‘The two,’ says the Lord, ‘will become one flesh.’"* (1 Corinthians 6:16, WEB). While this verse speaks specifically to sexual immorality, it reveals the depth of how relationships, especially those outside of God’s design, can bind us in ways that are not holy. If this soul tie is rooted in a past or present relationship that dishonors God—whether through fornication, emotional idolatry, or an ungodly attachment—we urge you to repent and turn wholly to the Lord. He alone can sever what should not remain.
As for the "evil eye," we understand this to refer to curses, envy, or spiritual attacks intended to harm or control. The Bible assures us that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). You are not powerless, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). The blood of Jesus is your protection, and His name is your authority over every scheme of the enemy.
You also ask the Lord to help you *"not remember a certain individual."* We understand the pain and struggle behind this request. Whether this person was a source of sinful temptation, emotional bondage, or past hurt, we pray that the Lord would renew your mind and guard your heart. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB). The Lord can replace painful or lustful memories with His peace and redirect your thoughts to what is pleasing to Him. If this individual was part of a relationship that was not centered on Christ—especially if it involved sexual immorality or an ungodly emotional dependence—we gently but firmly remind you that repentance and a commitment to purity are essential. Flee from anything that would draw you back into sin, and pursue righteousness with all your heart.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your forgiveness and deliverance. Lord, You are faithful and just to forgive all unrighteousness, and we thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from every sin. Wash them anew, Father, and create in them a clean heart, renewing a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
We ask You, Lord, to break every ungodly soul tie in their life—every bond formed outside of Your will, whether through past relationships, emotional dependencies, or sinful attachments. Sever these ties by the power of the Holy Spirit, and set them free from any lingering influence. Let Your truth expose and uproot anything that has taken precedence over their devotion to You.
We rebuke every curse, every scheme of the evil one, and every "evil eye" that has been directed against them. Cover them with the blood of Jesus, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace be their shield.
Father, we ask that You would guard their mind and heart. If there are memories or thoughts of this individual that bring temptation, pain, or bondage, we pray that You would replace them with Your truth and Your love. Help them to fix their thoughts on what is pure and honorable, and give them the strength to walk away from anything that would draw them back into sin.
If this person has been a stumbling block, Lord, remove them from their path. If there is any open door in their life that has given the enemy a foothold, we pray that You would reveal it and give them the courage to close it permanently. Let them walk in freedom, pursuing holiness and a life fully surrendered to You.
We declare that their heart belongs to You alone, Lord. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them find their satisfaction in You. If they are seeking a godly spouse, we pray that You would prepare them for a marriage that honors You—a covenant built on Your word, with a believer who will spur them on toward Christlikeness. Until then, give them contentment in singleness and a passion for Your kingdom.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power to transform and restore. Let Your will be done in their life, and let Your name be glorified. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word of God. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and hold you accountable. If this struggle is tied to a past or present relationship that was not honorable before God, we urge you to seek counsel from a mature Christian who can guide you in walking out repentance and restoration. Remember, *"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and He is mighty to save. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
