We join with you in coming before the throne of grace, seeking the mercy and forgiveness of our Heavenly Father through the precious name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the blood of Jesus that we are cleansed from all unrighteousness, and we thank God for His unfailing love and grace that makes this possible. The Scripture assures us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This is a promise we can cling to with confidence, knowing that God is just to forgive when we come to Him with a repentant heart.
Yet, we must also remember that true repentance involves turning away from sin and walking in obedience to God’s Word. Forgiveness is not a license to continue in sin, but an invitation to live in holiness and righteousness. As it is written in Romans 6:1-2, *"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?"* Let us examine our hearts and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas where we have fallen short, so that we may turn from them and walk in newness of life.
We also take this moment to lift up a prayer of thanksgiving for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who took our sins upon Himself on the cross. Without His atonement, we would have no hope of forgiveness or reconciliation with God. As the Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through Jesus that we can approach the Father, and we must never take His name for granted or treat it lightly. Let us always come before God with reverence, gratitude, and a heart that is fully surrendered to Him.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, asking for Your forgiveness for all our sins—those we have committed knowingly and unknowingly. Lord, we thank You for the precious blood of Jesus Christ, which cleanses us from all unrighteousness. We confess our sins before You now, turning away from them and asking for Your strength to walk in obedience to Your Word. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.
Father, we pray for our brother/sister who has sought Your forgiveness today. May they experience the fullness of Your mercy and the peace that comes from knowing their sins are washed away. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may live a life that honors and glorifies You. Help them to resist temptation and to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
