We join you in lifting up your heartfelt concerns before the Lord, and we are grateful that you have invoked the precious name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the authority to stand against the forces of darkness. As it is written, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB), and *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power and sovereignty, and we stand with you in this confidence.
First, we lift up the woman you mentioned—though her name is not shared, the Lord knows her intimately. We pray that God would surround her with His favor as a shield at her workplace, granting her wisdom, strength, and excellence in all she does. May He open doors of opportunity for her and protect her from any schemes of the enemy that seek to hinder her. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). Father, let her labor be fruitful, her relationships with colleagues be peaceful, and her testimony for Christ be bold yet gracious. If she does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself, that she may experience the saving grace found only in Jesus.
Now, we turn our attention to the spiritual battle you are facing. Your cry for deliverance from demonic spirits, music, attacks, and demons is one we take seriously, for the Bible makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, *"but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). We commend you for recognizing the influence of demonic forces in areas like music, which can often be a gateway for ungodly influences to take root in our minds and spirits. The apostle Paul warns us, *"Don’t be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord"* (Ephesians 5:18-19, WEB). If there is music in your life that glorifies darkness, promotes sinful behaviors, or stirs up unholy desires, we urge you to cast it out completely. Replace it with worship that exalts the Lord, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB).
Demonic oppression is real, but so is the authority we have in Christ to resist it. James 4:7 (WEB) commands us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This resistance begins with submission to God—repenting of any known sin, renouncing ungodly influences, and clinging to the truth of Scripture. Have you examined your life for areas where the enemy may have a foothold? Are there unconfessed sins, such as bitterness, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, or involvement in occult practices? If so, we urge you to repent and turn fully to the Lord. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. Stand firm in the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit always, and be watchful in your prayers. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in this battle, for isolation can leave you vulnerable.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including the spiritual realms, and that no power can stand against Your authority. Lord, we lift up our brother who is crying out for deliverance. We ask that You would expose and break every demonic stronghold in his life—whether through music, unseen influences, or direct attacks. Let every chain of oppression be shattered by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we pray that You would give him discernment to recognize and reject anything that does not align with Your Word. If there are areas of sin or compromise in his life, convict him by Your Spirit and grant him the strength to turn away from them. Let him walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for him on the cross, for *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB).
We also pray for the woman he has mentioned. Lord, be her strength and her shield. Bless her work and let her find favor in Your sight and in the sight of those around her. If she does not know You, draw her to Yourself, Lord. Soften her heart to receive Your love and truth.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would surround our brother with godly community—believers who will stand with him in prayer, encourage him in the faith, and hold him accountable. Let him not grow weary in this battle, but may he press on with endurance, knowing that the victory is already won in Christ.
We rebuke every demonic spirit seeking to harass, oppress, or deceive him. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and never return. We declare that our brother is a child of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
