We come before you with grateful hearts, knowing that our Heavenly Father is rich in mercy and abundant in grace. The scripture reminds us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This is a beautiful promise for all who seek forgiveness through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Yet, we notice that while you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ, there is no specific confession of sin in your request. True repentance involves acknowledging our wrongdoings before God and turning away from them. Psalm 32:5 says, *"I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin."* Let us encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your heart and confess any known sins to God, trusting in His faithfulness to cleanse and restore you.
We also want to remind you that forgiveness and salvation come only through faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Believe in Him, confess your sins, and surrender your life to His will. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved soul before You, asking that You would draw them closer to Yourself. Lord, if there are unconfessed sins weighing on their heart, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would bring conviction and lead them to true repentance. Father, we thank You for the gift of forgiveness through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Cleanse them, renew them, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray that if this person has not yet fully surrendered their life to Jesus, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see the depth of Your love and the sacrifice of Your Son on their behalf. May they experience the joy of knowing You as their Savior and Lord.
Strengthen them to walk in righteousness and to live a life that honors You. Surround them with Your grace and mercy, and let them know the freedom that comes from being forgiven and made new in Christ.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
