We come before you with hearts full of gratitude that you have reached out in humility, seeking the Lord’s forgiveness. It is a beautiful and necessary thing to ask for forgiveness, for we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The Scriptures remind us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This is a promise we can cling to, for God is merciful and just, and He delights in showing grace to those who repent.
Yet, we must also remember that forgiveness is found only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is by faith in Jesus—His death on the cross and His resurrection—that we are reconciled to God. If you have not already surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, thanking You for their heart of repentance. Lord, You see the depths of their spirit, and You know the sincerity of their request. We ask that You would wash them clean by the blood of Jesus Christ, forgiving every sin—known and unknown—and restoring them to right fellowship with You. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life, turning away from all unrighteousness and pursuing holiness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to abide in You daily, for apart from You, we can do nothing.
We rebuke any stronghold of guilt or shame that the enemy may try to place upon them, for Your Word declares in Psalm 103:12, *"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."* Let them walk in the freedom and joy of Your forgiveness, knowing they are a new creation in Christ. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and lead them into all truth.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, if you have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, we implore you to do so today. Turn from your sins and place your trust in Him alone. If you have questions about what it means to follow Christ or how to grow in your faith, we encourage you to reach out to a Bible-believing church or a mature believer who can guide you. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). Walk in His grace, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
