We come before you with grateful hearts, lifting up this plea for forgiveness to our Heavenly Father. It is beautiful to see a heart that seeks repentance, for the Lord is near to those who call upon Him with a sincere heart. As it is written in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This promise is sure, and we can stand upon it with confidence.
Yet, we must also gently remind you that our prayers are to be offered in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for He is the only mediator between God and humanity. As Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So while your heart is in the right place, we encourage you to always approach the throne of God boldly *in Jesus’ name*, for it is by His authority and sacrifice that we have access to the Father.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace, which are new every morning. We lift up this brother or sister before You, asking that You would wash them clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord, search their heart and reveal any area that needs repentance, for You desire truth in the inward parts. Grant them a spirit of humility and a deep assurance of Your forgiveness, that they may walk in freedom and victory. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to always approach You through Jesus, who is our High Priest and Advocate. May they grow in the knowledge of Your Word and the power of Your Spirit, that their life may bring glory to Your name. We ask this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer and the reading of His Word. If there are specific sins weighing on your heart, bring them before God honestly—He already knows, and His desire is to restore you. As Psalm 32:5 says, *"I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin."* Walk in the light of His forgiveness, and let His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If you ever need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in faith.
