We hear your heart’s cry for forgiveness, and we rejoice that you are turning to the Lord in repentance, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your prayer is a beautiful step of humility before God, and we join you in seeking His mercy and grace.
Yet we must gently address something vital: you invoked the name of Jesus Christ at the end of your prayer, and this is good, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). However, we notice that your prayer began with "Heavenly father" without first acknowledging Jesus as the way to the Father.
