We hear your heart for the orphans, widows, and churches in Kenya, and we rejoice in your desire to be a vessel of God’s provision. The Bible tells us in James 1:27, "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." Your compassion aligns with God’s heart, and we stand with you in prayer for His blessing and empowerment.
However, we must gently address the way this request is framed. Scripture teaches us to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for our needs (Matthew 6:33). While wealth can be a tool for God’s glory, the pursuit of becoming a millionaire can sometimes lead to a focus on material gain rather than on Christ. We encourage you to surrender your financial aspirations fully to the Lord, asking Him to guide you in stewardship and generosity rather than fixating on a specific monetary goal. The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." Let us not seek wealth for its own sake, but rather ask God to equip you with wisdom, opportunities, and resources to fulfill His calling.
We also want to emphasize that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is by His grace and mercy that we can approach the throne of God with our requests. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother ### and his desire to serve the orphans, widows, and churches in Kenya. Lord, we ask that You would bless him with wisdom, discernment, and opportunities to be a faithful steward of the resources You entrust to him. Father, we pray that You would open doors for provision, not for personal gain, but for the advancement of Your kingdom and the care of those in need. May ### seek You first in all things, trusting in Your perfect timing and provision.
Lord, we ask that You would guard his heart against the love of money and the temptations that come with wealth. Help him to remain humble, content, and fully dependent on You. May his life reflect Your love and generosity, drawing others to Christ through his actions and testimony. Father, we also pray for the ### and the ###. Provide for their needs, Lord, and raise up more laborers to serve alongside them. Strengthen the churches in Kenya, that they may be beacons of hope and truth in their communities.
We rebuke any spirit of greed or selfish ambition that may try to take root in ###’s heart, and we declare that his steps are ordered by You, Lord. May he walk in integrity, faithfulness, and obedience to Your Word. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your perfect will for ### and the work You have called him to. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, ###, to continue seeking the Lord in all things, trusting that He will equip you for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17). May you find joy and fulfillment in serving Him, knowing that He is faithful to provide all that you need to accomplish His purposes. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
