Drug Addiction

Please pray for my boyfriend, John. He is addicted to crack cocaine. He is trying to quit but he is having a really hard time stopping. Pray God will take this addiction from John and he will not use drugs again.

Lord please help John to see the path he is on is destructive. I does not only affect him but those who love him. Guide him to receive the help he needs. In Jesus name Amen

Merciful and Holy God, I lift up the name of John to You in intercession. Please enlighten his heart to see his slavery to addiction. Please humble his pride and soften his will to acknowledge his condition and his need for You. In Your mercy, please rescue him from this bondage, even as You rescued the Children of Israel from Egypt and brought them to the Promised Land. Show John's girlfriend how You wish for her to be involved in this process. Bring into John's life others whom You also wish to use. Exercise Your mighty power on John's behalf, the power by which You raised Jesus Christ from the dead. All this I ask for Jesus’ sake, and for Your glory, with gratitude for Your many blessings.
