Disciple of Prayer
I don't know if I'll ever be whole or happy again. I miss when my daughters actually loved me when they were little and we had time together. I feel like I'll never fund myself or be happy again or what my purpose is. Please pray that God will heal the broken pieces of me again and help me to be a better and more present mom to my son. Please pray that God heals the relationship between me and him and that the remaining and rest of our days are filled with closeness, love, happy memories and time and laughter and we develop a strong and close bond. Please pray that God is with me during my recertification for my apartment tomorrow and gives me favor and that me and my son don't lose our home. I've been filled with doubt, uncertainty, fear and anxiety all week. I miss me and how I used to be fearless, outgoing and happy and love people. People used to be drawn to me. Please pray God brings this back. I lost myself years ago due to abuse, criticism and just self doubt. Please pray God heals my self esteem. Please pray that God opens new doors and the life He has for me and my son is a good one and still obtainable

We hear the deep ache in your heart and the feeling of drowning under grief, fear and exhaustion, and we are lifting you before our Father together in Jesus' name. We grieve with you over the loss you feel of who you once were and over the changing seasons with your daughters, and we thank God for your tender desire to be a more present and loving mom to your son. You are not forgotten and you are not beyond healing.

The Lord sees the broken pieces and draws near to heal them. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. When your heart is overwhelmed, He is the rock that is higher than you, Psalm 61:2. The years of abuse, criticism and self doubt that have worn down your self esteem do not define you, for your worth is anchored in who you are in Christ. Psalm 139:14 declares I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Your purpose has not been lost, even when you cannot feel it. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

We also hear your longing for closeness, laughter and happy memories with your son, and for the restoration of that bond for all the days God gives you together. God delights in the love between a mother and her child and He is able to restore what has felt distant or strained. As you seek to be more present, we encourage you to invite Him into the small everyday moments, to ask Him for patience, gentleness and joy, and to trust Him to build that strong and close bond day by day.

Your anxiety about your recertification and the fear of losing your home is heavy, and we bring that need directly to the Lord for His favor and provision. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. That fearless, outgoing, loving person you miss is not gone forever, God can renew your joy and draw others to the light of Christ in you again, not through striving, but as He restores your heart.

We notice your request speaks of God but does not mention Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true wholeness. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be healed and made whole, we come through faith in Jesus Christ, believing He died for our sins and rose again, and trusting Him alone to forgive us and make us new. If you have not already, we encourage you to call on His name and place your full trust in Him for salvation and for daily grace.

We pray together now for you and your son.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this dear mother to You. You see her tears, her weariness, and her longing to be whole again. Heal the broken pieces of her heart and bind up her wounds. Restore her sense of self not in the opinions of others or in past abuse, but in Your unfailing love. Quiet her doubt, uncertainty, fear and anxiety with Your perfect peace. Be with her tomorrow in her recertification, grant her favor with those in authority, and keep a roof over her and her son according to Your mercy. We ask You to heal and deepen the relationship between her and her son, and to continue Your work between her and her daughters as well. Fill their remaining days together with closeness, love, laughter, time together and happy memories, and help her to be the present, nurturing mom You created her to be. Renew her joy, her courage and her love for people, and open new doors for the good life You have prepared for her and her son. Lead her into the hope and future You promise, and let her know she is still able to walk in the good works You prepared for her. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing so openly with us. We can hear how heavy and stretched thin you feel right now, missing the closeness you once had with your daughters, carrying fear about your home, and wanting so much to be a steady, present mom for your son.

It makes sense that this week has been filled with doubt and anxiety with your recertification tomorrow. We are holding you and your son in prayer for that meeting, asking God to give you calm, clarity and favor, and to make a way for you to remain securely housed.

We also hear your longing to feel like yourself again, fearless and outgoing, after years of criticism and hurt that chipped away at your confidence. Healing in that area often comes not from trying to force good feelings about ourselves, but slowly as we take small, meaningful steps forward and see God sustain us in them. Each present moment with your son, each honest step you take, can be part of that rebuilding.

One gentle step for tonight might be to set out everything you need for tomorrow in one place, write down any questions you want to ask, and give yourself permission to rest afterward. If anxiety stays intense, it can help to talk with a trusted person or counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this mom and her son to You. Heal the broken places, quiet fear with Your nearness, and deepen the bond between them with laughter and love in the days ahead. Provide for their home tomorrow and open good doors for their future. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry has come before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace, for the Lord hears those who are broken in heart and He binds up their wounds.

We have prayed that the great Physician Himself would heal the broken pieces of which you speak. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but it is the brokenness of heart that is the deeper wound, and none but Christ can heal it. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We have asked that He would lay His hand upon you as He took the damsel by the hand and said, arise, and that healing and pardon would come together to you, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a soul with healing in His wings, there is no more need to say, I am sick.

We know you feel as one whose sins and sorrows are as a legion within, and who despairs of ever being whole again. So far as man was concerned that poor man among the tombs was in an utterly hopeless condition, yet there was hope for him, for Jesus had crossed the sea with the special purpose of healing him. So has He come to you. Though you feel drowning and lost to yourself through abuse and criticism and long years of self doubt, He has not forgotten you. In Gods esteem you are accepted in the Beloved, though in your own esteem you seem to yourself to be full of evil and you cry out against it. The fairest saints are often those that think themselves the blackest, because they have more light to see their need, and that light is itself a token of His work within.

We have prayed for you as a mother. We have asked the Lord to heal the relationship between you and your son, and to make the remaining days that He gives you to be filled with closeness and love and happy memories and laughter, and that you may be made a more present and faithful mother to him. We have prayed also for your daughters, that the Lord would keep them and work in their hearts love and honor, and that whatever distance time has made would be healed as He wills. We have prayed that He would open new doors for you and your son, and that the life He has for you would yet be good and obtainable under His kind providence.

Concerning your recertification tomorrow and your home, we have prayed that God would be with you and give you favor. Our Savior bids us, Neither be you of a doubtful mind. We have found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Your doubt and uncertainty and fear and anxiety this week are known to Him who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Tell Him about it in prayer, and do not tell only yourself about it, for anxiety confined to yourself brings no good. We have asked that He would quiet your spirit, steady your mind, and grant you favor in the eyes of those who decide, that you and your son may keep your home.

For your self esteem and your longing to be again fearless and outgoing and happy, we have prayed that the Lord would not merely restore what was, but renew you after His own image. He has made us to be holy in our desires and has renewed the image of His own perfect Self within us. True wholeness is not found by looking within to find ourselves, but by looking to Christ who bore our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. That bitter cup He drained for us, that we might be healed. As you look to Him, He will restore joy, not as the world gives, but as a fruit of being forgiven and beloved.

May the Lord grant you to see that overwhelming evidence of your need is met by overwhelming evidence of His healing grace, and may He keep you and your son in His tender care. Amen.
