We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your driving test and the anxiety surrounding it. The pressure you feel is understandable, but we remind you of what Scripture tells us: *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). While passing this test is important, we must also remember that our trust should not be in our own abilities or circumstances, but in the Lord, who holds all things in His hands.
We notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. The Scriptures are clear: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB), and *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ—His death for our sins and His resurrection—that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without Him, even our most heartfelt prayers lack the power of His intercession.
Now, let us pray together for your test, surrendering this burden to the Lord and asking for His will to be done in your life.
---
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, asking for Your wisdom, peace, and guidance as he prepares for his driving test. Lord, You know the stress and financial strain this has placed on him and his family, and we ask that You provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Calm his heart and steady his hands, reminding him that his worth is not found in passing or failing, but in You alone.
Grant him clarity of mind to recall all he has learned, and give him favor with those who administer the test. Help him to drive with confidence, not in his own strength, but in the assurance that You are with him. If it is Your will for him to pass, we ask that You make a way. But even if the outcome is not what he hopes for, let him trust that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).
Most of all, Father, we pray that this situation would draw him closer to You. If he does not yet know You as his Savior, we ask that You open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus Christ died for his sins and rose again, so that by faith in Him, he might have eternal life (John 3:16). Let him rest in the knowledge that You are sovereign over every detail of his life, including this test.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
