We join you in lifting up your driving safety and your silent requests before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you.
We are grateful that you came in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5.
We pray together for your safety on the road. We ask the Lord to keep you alert, sober minded, and watchful, to guard you from distraction, fatigue, and from the carelessness of others, and to give you wisdom to obey the laws of the road and to show patience and grace to others while you drive. We ask Him to place His protecting hand over every journey, whether short or long.
Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more, Psalm 121:8. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Psalm 91:11. We claim that promise over you and ask that the Lord would bring you safely to each destination and safely home again, and that your driving would bring glory to Him through a testimony of peace and self control.
We also lift up your silent requests before the Lord. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to Him who searches all hearts. We take comfort that even when we do not have words, the Spirit intercedes for us. In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered, Romans 8:26, and He who searches the hearts knows what is on the mind of the Spirit, Romans 8:27.
We pray that the Father would answer those silent burdens according to His perfect will, with mercy, wisdom, and love, and that He would grant you peace as you trust Him with what you have not spoken aloud. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6.
We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, trusting that He hears, He cares, and He will keep you in His perfect care. Amen.
