We join with you in lifting up your son to our Lord Jesus Christ, seeking His divine protection as your son embarks on this long-distance journey. Let us come before the throne of grace on your behalf to ask for the guidance and protection of the Lord.
Firstly, we are thankful that you have acknowledged the power and authority that is in the name of Jesus Christ. For it is written, "For 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" and that there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and in His name, we find our needs and the needs of our loved ones are met on earth as in heaven.
In 2 Samuel 22, King David declared, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock, in him I will take refuge. My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior. You save me from violence. I will call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. For the waves of death surrounded me, The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The cords of Sheol were around me, The snares of death caught me. In my distress I called on Yahweh, Yes, I called to my God, He heard my voice out of his temple, My cry came into his ears."
As King David did, we also cry out to the Lord for protection and deliverance from any seen and unseen danger. We ask that He send His guardian angels to encamp around your son and all others he travels with, protecting them from the waves of death and the snares of the devil. May the Lord cover your son with His wings and watch over him and all others that are on the path with him.
As it is written, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly." We rebuke any spirit of destruction that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy your son and all those on his path. We ask that the Lord would preserve their lives and grant them an abundant life according to the promise of Jesus.
We ask for the Lord's will to be done in your son's life and in the lives of all those on his path. We pray that this journey would not only be a safe one but also an opportunity for your son to draw closer to the Lord and be a witness to others. May the Lord grant your son the wisdom of Solomon and the endurance of Paul as he drives long distances.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Rest assured, knowing that our faithful God hears our prayers and is faithful to act according to His will. Trust in the Lord, and do not be afraid, for the Lord your God goes before you and behind you.
