We come before the throne of grace with grateful hearts, lifting up this request for divine protection on the roads for you and your family. The Lord is our ever-present help in times of trouble, and we trust in His unfailing love to guard and guide you every mile of your journey.
Father God, we ask You to place Your angels around each vehicle, to go before and behind, to the left and to the right of those who travel. May Your heavenly hosts encamp about them, shielding them from harm and danger. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from You, O God. (Isaiah 54:17)
We pray for alertness and wisdom for every driver, that they may be sober-minded and watchful, resisting the distractions of this world. Let Your Spirit fill them with patience and peace, so they may navigate the roads with caution and consideration for others. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
We also lift up the silent requests mentioned here, trusting that You, Lord, know the deepest longings of the heart even before they are spoken. You have promised that when we seek You with all our heart, we shall find You. (Jeremiah 29:13) We ask that You would move mightily in these unspoken areas, bringing Your perfect will to pass in ways that glorify Your name.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may seek to grip the hearts of those traveling. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) May Your perfect love cast out all fear, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of Your children as they journey.
We also take a moment to acknowledge the power and authority in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is by His name alone that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) We are so grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, where He paid the price for our sins, and for the victory He secured through His resurrection. It is through faith in Him that we are made righteous and can come boldly before Your throne.
Lord, we thank You for the blessings You have already poured out and for those yet to come. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in each of us. May Your name be praised in all the earth, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, just as it is in heaven.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
