We understand the importance of having a driver’s license, as it can open doors for work, ministry, and daily responsibilities. It is good that you have brought this need before the Lord, acknowledging His provision in Jesus’ name. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is a promise we can stand on, knowing that God cares about even the practical details of our lives.
At the same time, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in how this need should be met. Have you considered ways to earn or save the money honestly through work, budgeting, or seeking help from your church family? Proverbs 13:11 tells us, *"Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles, but he who gathers by labor increases it."* If there is a way for you to take steps of faith—whether through extra hours at work, selling unused items, or humbly asking for assistance from believers—we urge you to do so, trusting God to multiply your efforts.
Let us also examine our hearts: Are we seeking this license for God’s glory and to better serve His purposes, or is there any selfish ambition mixed in? James 4:3 warns, *"You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* If this license will help you provide for your family, serve in ministry, or fulfill a godly responsibility, then we can confidently ask the Lord to provide. But if it is merely for convenience or worldly desires, we must repent and align our hearts with His will.
Now, let us pray together for your provision:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine provision in obtaining their driver’s license. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides, and nothing is too small or too great for Your care. We ask that You open doors for the necessary funds to be supplied honestly and in Your perfect timing. Give them wisdom to steward their resources well and favor in this process. If there is any area of their heart that needs alignment with Your will, convict and correct them by Your Spirit.
Lord, we also pray that this license would be used for Your glory—whether in work, ministry, or daily life. May it be a tool to further Your kingdom and not a distraction from Your purposes. We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or impatience and declare Your peace and trust over this situation. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to meet every need according to Your riches in Christ Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord in this matter. If the funds do not come immediately, do not grow discouraged. God’s timing is perfect, and He may be teaching you to rely on Him in new ways. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience. If you have not already, consider sharing this need with your pastor or a mature believer who can pray with you and offer godly counsel. We are standing with you in faith!
