I was taking my driving lessons for a while but had to stop because of issues to do with my mental health. I'm now doing better. I now have no money to restart my lessons. I would like god to reveal to me whether it would be right to start taking them again. And if he wants me to wait. In Jesus high name.

The Gospel of Health
Rocks of Trouble
We thank you for sharing this request with us and we rejoice with you that you are doing better after the struggles with your mental health. We give thanks to God for His healing and sustaining grace in your life and we join you in seeking His clear direction about your driving lessons.

We know that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our health, our finances, and our daily decisions. He does not want us to walk in anxiety or confusion but to bring everything to Him in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to the promise in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and to 2 Timothy 1:7, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of self-control. We pray you will continue to experience His peace and a sound mind as you walk forward.

You have asked for wisdom to know whether to restart now or to wait, and that is exactly what God invites us to do. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We also take comfort in Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. God is faithful to reveal His timing when we seek Him humbly. Sometimes His answer is to wait, and waiting is not wasted time. Lamentations 3:25 says, Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him, and Psalm 27:14 says, Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh.

We also understand the burden of wanting to move forward but not having the provision right now. We want to encourage you that God sees this need and He is our provider. Philippians 4:19 assures us, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. If it is His will for you to resume lessons now, He is able to open the right doors and provide the resources in His perfect way and timing. If He is asking you to wait, it is because He has a good purpose in the waiting, perhaps to strengthen you further, to prepare provision, or to guard your peace. We encourage you to continue to steward well what He has given you, to seek wise counsel, and to keep caring for your mental health with both prayer and any trusted support God has placed around you.

We join our faith with yours and pray together.

Father in heaven, we thank You for our dear one who comes before You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for the healing and progress You have already brought in their mental health and we ask You to continue Your restoring work, granting ongoing peace, strength, and a sound mind. Lord, we ask You to make Your will unmistakably clear concerning these driving lessons. Grant wisdom liberally, show whether now is the right time to restart or whether to wait on Your perfect timing. Provide for every financial need according to Your riches in glory, and help them to trust You with open hands. Guard their heart from discouragement and anxiety, and let them feel Your eye upon them, guiding and counseling them. We ask that You lead them step by step and that Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were glad to read that you are doing better after having to step away from your lessons. It takes wisdom to pause when you needed to, and it takes faith to bring the next step back to God instead of just pushing ahead.

Wanting to know whether to restart now or wait is a good place to be. That desire to follow His leading, even with finances tight, matters more than getting the timing perfect on your own. Sometimes God opens a door right away, and sometimes He keeps it closed for a season while He steadies other areas of life, and both can be His care for you.

One simple way we have found helpful when money and timing are involved is to bring both the prayer and the practical picture to Him together. You might set aside a little unhurried time this week to pray specifically about whether now is the right time, and also get a clear, current figure for what restarting would actually cost from your old school or another local instructor. Having that real number, and looking at it honestly alongside your budget, can make it easier to sense whether God is providing a way forward or inviting you to wait and trust Him for provision later. Talking it through with a pastor or another trusted believer who knows you can also bring clarity.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying for wisdom and peace as you seek Him.

Father, thank You for the healing You have already brought in this life and for the honest heart that wants Your will above all. Give clear guidance about driving lessons, provide for every need according to Your wisdom, and give quiet confidence whether the answer is to step forward now or to wait. Keep this one close to You and steady in Your peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
