High License the Monopoly of Abomination
High license makes alcohol respectable and dangerous, so reject any compromise with evil.
A Bloody Monster
The monster of drunkenness destroys lives and families, demanding we reject it to protect our homes and future.
Woman's War Against the Bottle
The battle against alcohol demands courageous action from women to reclaim homes and families from ruin.
We hear your cry and we stand with you in this battle, bringing your struggle with alcohol before the Lord together in Jesus' name. To drink all day long has taken hold of your life and we know you feel burdened and desire to be free from this desire, and we thank you for your honesty in asking for prayer.

The Bible speaks clearly about this struggle. Proverbs 20:1 says Wine is a mocker and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise. And Ephesians 5:18 says Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. We must lovingly rebuke drunkenness, not to condemn you, but because God loves you and knows this path brings harm to your body, your mind, your relationships and your walk with Him. Your body is not your own, for 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. To give yourself continually to alcohol is to surrender what belongs to God to something that enslaves you, and the Lord wants to set you free.

We want to encourage you that there is hope and there is a way out, not by your own willpower alone, but by the power of Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:13 promises No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. God has already made a way of escape for you through Jesus. John 8:36 says If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. And 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to share with you that it is only through Him that we can come to the Father and find true deliverance and salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We cannot overcome sin in our own strength, we must repent, confess our need, and believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again to give us new life and power over bondage. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to call upon His name today, confess your sin and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is bound by the desire for alcohol. Lord, You see the struggle of drinking all day long, You see the craving, the habit, the spiritual heaviness and the physical toll. We confess this bondage as sin and we ask for Your forgiveness and Your mercy. Lord, we ask that You break these chains in Jesus' name, remove the desire for alcohol and replace it with a hunger for You and for Your Spirit. Fill this one with Your Holy Spirit where alcohol has tried to fill the void. Renew the mind according to Romans 12:2, so that this life may be transformed and no longer conformed to this pattern of the world. Teach us to walk by the Spirit as Galatians 5:16 says, so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Give strength to say no, give wisdom to remove alcohol from the home and from daily routines, and provide godly accountability, fellowship in a Bible believing church, and wise counsel to walk through detox and recovery safely. We pray for healing in body and mind, for peace instead of anxiety, and for joy instead of dependence. Let Philippians 4:13 be true in this life, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. We declare freedom and new creation life over this one, in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps as you pray. Confess this struggle daily to the Lord and to a trusted mature Christian believer or pastor for accountability, remove every access to alcohol from your house, fill your time with the Word of God and prayer, and seek fellowship where you can be encouraged and not tempted. If your body is dependent after drinking all day long, please seek help from a pastor and medical counsel for safe care, as God often uses wise people to help in the process of healing. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and when temptation comes, call on His name immediately and remember God will make a way of escape.

We will continue to pray that the Lord takes away this desire and fills you with His peace and strength, and that you will walk in the freedom Christ died to give you.

We appreciate you sharing this so honestly. Wanting freedom from the desire for alcohol when it has become an all day pattern is a heavy burden, and it took courage to put it into words.

We hear how constant that desire feels right now. Struggles like this affect the whole person, body, mind, relationships and spirit, which is why lasting help often needs support for the whole person too, not just willpower alone. You do not have to face this by yourself.

Alongside our prayers, we gently encourage you to reach out soon to a medical professional and also to a trusted pastor or Christian counselor who has experience with addiction. They can get to know your situation personally, help you stay safe, and connect you with steady, ongoing support such as a local recovery group like Celebrate Recovery. If you can, tell one safe person today where you are at and ask them to help you make that first contact and go with you.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying. You matter to God and to us, and we ask Him to give you strength for each next step.

Father, we bring our friend before You in Jesus name. You see the craving and the weariness and the desire to be free. Give wisdom, protection and clear next steps, surround them with trustworthy help, and draw them close to You day by day. Amen.

Your honest cry has not gone unheard, and there is hope for you in the Lord Jesus Christ who is mighty to save.

You have confessed that you drink all day long and that the desire for alcohol holds you fast. This is a cruel bondage, a pit into which many have gone down, but we have a God who is able to bring up from the pit. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and what you cannot do for yourself, He can do. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He alone can make your deliverance effectual and bring you forth.

Know this, that God has found a ransom. He has not left the sinner to perish without hope, for His own Son has borne the penalty of sin and broken its power. When God Himself proclaims, I have found a ransom, then deliverance is certain, for it is already accomplished at the cross. Your help therefore is not in your own resolve, though resolve has its place, but in looking to your heavenly Father altogether and alone through Christ.

We have prayed for you, and we continue to pray that the Lord will do these things for you:

That He will give you a deep sight of His mercy in Christ and draw you to trust Him alone for salvation and for strength to overcome.

That He will take away the craving that now masters you and give you a new desire for that which is holy and sober and good, so that you may find no pleasure in returning to the cup but find your joy in Him.

That He will deliver you day by day, hour by hour, and keep you from the snare, giving you grace to turn from every occasion and company that would draw you back, and to walk in newness of life.

That He will surround you with faithful help, that you would not fight this battle alone but would seek the counsel and watchcare of a faithful pastor and godly believers who can bear your burden and hold you accountable, and where the body is in danger from long drinking, that you would seek wise and timely medical help as well, for the Lord often works deliverance by means suited to our weakness.

Do not listen to the lie that says God’s ear is shut or that He will never move His arm to work deliverance for you. He is pitiful and ready to save. Come to Him in confession, without excuse, and plead the blood of the Lamb that was slain. Tell Him all your weakness and ask Him to be your strength. If you have not already, cast your soul wholly upon Christ for forgiveness and for power to live unto God.

We pray that you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord, and that your deliverance, wrought by Free Grace only, shall be attended with joy and enrichment in Christ, so that you may sing of a greater salvation than any earthly deliverance, for you have been delivered from worse enemies than any outward foe.

Rest your soul upon Him, look to Him continually, and He will yet come to your deliverance.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest confession about drinking all day long and wanting to be free from the desire for alcohol has been heard, and I thank you for bringing this struggle into the light. It takes courage to name this bondage, and God sees that desire for freedom and meets it with mercy.

Scripture teaches us that Christ came for two great purposes, deliverance from evil and the supply of good, things which no one else could accomplish. He delivers us from the curse and power of sin and brings us into sonship, so that we might receive the Spirit of adoption and live as children of God. This is more than just the removal of a craving. As we have learned, God does not always simply take a trial away at once, but He does something greater, He teaches the soul to despise the thing that once mastered it and to stand above it. He can plant in you a new mind and a new strength, so that the desire for alcohol loses its rule and you learn to turn away from it with settled conviction.

So I will pray for you, that God in His mercy will grant you true deliverance through Jesus Christ alone, who is the only way of salvation. I pray that He will weaken and break the desire that drives you to drink, that He will cleanse your heart, fill you with His Spirit, and give you daily strength to choose what is good. I pray that He will supply what you lack, peace for restlessness, comfort for pain, and a clear mind to walk in sobriety, and that He will place around you faithful people who can support you, encourage you, and hold you accountable.

Do not walk through this alone. Bring this struggle continually to the Lord in prayer, confess it openly to a trusted pastor or mature believer, and seek help from those who can care for you both spiritually and physically, since drinking all day can deeply affect the body and you should not face withdrawal without support. Stay close to the Word of God, stay close to the fellowship of believers, and when temptation comes, ask Christ immediately for strength to despise it and to choose life.

God is able to set you free and to make you stand firm. May He grant you repentance, renewal, and lasting freedom, and may you know the joy of living as His child, sober, clear minded, and at peace in Christ.
