Dream’s

Klutance

Disciple of Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus Christ. I don’t the mean of this dream. I gave somebody a piece of paper written in name on it. I don’t know what kind of dream is this.

We thank you for bringing this dream before us, and we are grateful you invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive wisdom, understanding, and revelation. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So we rejoice that you have come in the name above all names, the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Dreams can be a mysterious and sometimes unsettling experience, but we know that God speaks in various ways, including through dreams, as we see in the Scriptures. In Job 33:14-16, Elihu says, *"For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed; then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction."* However, not all dreams are from God. Some may simply be the result of our thoughts, anxieties, or even what we have eaten, as Ecclesiastes 5:3 tells us, *"For as a dream comes with a multitude of cares, so a fool’s speech with a multitude of words."* Others may even be influenced by the enemy, seeking to bring confusion or fear. This is why we must test everything against the Word of God and seek His discernment.

In your dream, you gave someone a piece of paper with a name written on it. Names in Scripture carry significant meaning—they often represent identity, authority, or destiny. For example, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham to signify his role as the father of many nations (Genesis 17:5). Similarly, Jesus changed Simon’s name to Peter, meaning "rock," indicating the foundation he would become in the early church (Matthew 16:18). The act of giving a name on a piece of paper could symbolize the transfer of identity, responsibility, or even a calling. It may also represent intercession—lifting someone’s name before the Lord in prayer, as we see in Philippians 4:6, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."*

We do not know the exact meaning of this dream for you, but we encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer and ask Him for clarity. Ask Him: *"Lord, if this dream is from You, reveal to me its meaning and what You would have me do with it. If it is not from You, remove it from my mind and guard my heart against confusion."* James 1:5 assures us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* So we urge you to ask the Lord for wisdom and discernment, trusting that He will guide you.

It is also important to consider the context of your life right now. Are you interceding for someone specifically? Are you being called to take on a new responsibility or role, perhaps in ministry or leadership? Are you being prompted to pray for someone’s salvation or spiritual growth? Sometimes dreams reflect the burdens or callings God places on our hearts. In 1 Timothy 2:1, Paul urges, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men."* Could this dream be a reminder to lift others up in prayer, writing their names before the Lord as a symbol of your intercession?

Alternatively, this dream could be a prompt to examine your own identity in Christ. Are you fully walking in the name and authority He has given you as His child? In Revelation 2:17, Jesus promises, *"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he who receives it."* Our identity in Christ is secure, and He calls us by name (Isaiah 43:1). Perhaps this dream is a reminder to rest in the name He has given you and to walk confidently in your calling as His beloved.

Let us pray together over this dream and your life:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who speaks—through Your Word, through Your Spirit, and even through dreams. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has shared this dream with us, and we ask for Your divine wisdom and revelation. If this dream is from You, Father, open his/her eyes to understand its meaning. Show him/her if there is someone You are calling him/her to intercede for, to encourage, or to speak life into. Reveal if there is a burden or a responsibility You are placing on his/her heart.

If this dream is not from You, Lord, we ask that You would remove any confusion or distraction from the enemy. Guard his/her mind and heart, and let him/her rest in the peace that comes from You alone. Father, we also pray that You would remind him/her of the identity You have given in Christ—an identity that is secure, redeemed, and purposed for Your glory. Let him/her walk in the authority of the name of Jesus, knowing that he/she is called by Your name and covered by Your blood.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or doubt that may try to creep in. Holy Spirit, fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and with the confidence that comes from knowing You are in control. Lead him/her into all truth, and let every step be ordered by You.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in his/her life. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and in the Word, asking the Lord to reveal anything He wants you to know. Write down the dream and any thoughts or impressions you have about it. Sometimes, the Lord brings clarity over time as we seek Him. Also, consider sharing this dream with a trusted, mature believer or pastor who can pray with you and offer godly counsel.

Lastly, we want to remind you that while dreams can be meaningful, they are not our primary source of guidance. The Bible is our foundation, and the Holy Spirit is our guide. As you seek the Lord, let His Word be the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Stay rooted in Scripture, and trust that the Lord will lead you in the way you should go.

We're here with you, praying for clarity and understanding about this dream. It's intriguing, isn't it? The act of giving someone a piece of paper with a name written on it could indeed symbolize a transfer of identity, responsibility, or even a call to intercession. It might also be a prompt to examine our own identity in Christ, as we saw in Revelation 2:17.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You, trusting in the name of Jesus. We lift up this dream and the person who shared it. If this dream is from You, Lord, reveal its meaning. Show us if there's someone You're calling them to intercede for, or a new responsibility You're placing on their heart. Help them to walk confidently in their calling, knowing they are Your beloved.

If this dream is not from You, Lord, remove any confusion or fear. Guard their mind and heart, and let them rest in the peace that comes from knowing You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt and invite Your Holy Spirit to fill them with peace and confidence. Lead them into all truth, and let every step be ordered by You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and in the Word, asking the Lord to reveal anything He wants you to know. Write down the dream and any thoughts or impressions you have about it. Sometimes, clarity comes over time as we seek Him. Also, consider sharing this dream with a trusted, mature believer or pastor who can pray with you and offer godly counsel.

Remember, while dreams can be meaningful, they're not our primary source of guidance. The Bible is our foundation, and the Holy Spirit is our guide. Stay rooted in Scripture, and trust that the Lord will lead you in the way you should go.
