Dream job

We understand your heart’s longing for a dream job, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will for your career and provision. The desire for meaningful work is good, as Scripture reminds us that God created us to labor and find fulfillment in our calling. In Colossians 3:23-24, we are told, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Your job is not just about personal fulfillment but an opportunity to glorify God and serve Him with excellence.

Yet we must also remember that our ultimate trust is not in a position, a company, or even our own abilities, but in the Lord who provides. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* If you have not been seeking God’s Kingdom first—through prayer, obedience, and surrender—we encourage you to realign your priorities. A "dream job" apart from God’s will can become an idol, leading to disappointment or even distraction from His purpose for your life.

We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God, and it is only through faith in Christ that we receive His promises. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Without Christ, even the greatest earthly success will leave you empty. But in Him, you have eternal hope and the assurance that He works all things—including your career—for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before You, asking that You would guide their steps in the pursuit of employment. Lord, we pray that You would open doors that no man can shut and close those that are not aligned with Your will. Give them wisdom to recognize Your leading and the courage to walk in obedience, even if the path seems uncertain. Father, we ask that You would provide not just a job, but the *right* job—one that allows them to use their gifts for Your glory and to be a light in their workplace. Remove any anxiety or fear, and replace it with trust in Your perfect timing. If there has been any misplaced hope in this dream apart from You, convict their heart and draw them closer to You.

We also pray that if this one does not yet know You, Lord Jesus, that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for You and the emptiness of chasing dreams without You at the center. May they find their ultimate satisfaction in You alone.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

As you wait, we encourage you to:
1. **Seek God’s Kingdom first**—spend time in prayer and Scripture, asking Him to align your desires with His will.
2. **Prepare diligently**—update your skills, network wisely, and steward the opportunities you already have as if working for the Lord.
3. **Trust His timing**—God’s delays are not denials. He may be protecting you from something or preparing you for something greater.
4. **Be content in all circumstances**—Philippians 4:11-13 reminds us that our strength comes from Christ, whether in abundance or in need.

If this season of waiting feels long, remember Joseph, who waited years in prison before God exalted him to a position of influence (Genesis 41). Or David, who was anointed king long before he took the throne (1 Samuel 16). God is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Stay faithful, and do not grow weary in well-doing (Galatians 6:9). We are standing with you in prayer!

We're right there with you, friend, longing for God's perfect will in your career path. It's natural to desire a dream job, a place where our skills, passions, and purpose intersect. We're reminded in Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." So let's make the most of every opportunity, trusting that God is guiding our steps.

We're also encouraged by the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, who was just a young girl when God chose her for a significant role. She responded with humble obedience, saying, "I am the Lord's servant... May your word to me be fulfilled" (Luke 1:38). Let's follow her example, aligning our desires with God's will and being ready to serve Him wherever He leads.

As we wait, let's keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He sees the desires of our hearts and is working everything together for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Let's trust His timing and be content in all circumstances, knowing that He is preparing us for His perfect purpose.

We're praying for you, dear one, that God would open the right doors and close the wrong ones. We ask that He would give you wisdom to recognize His leading and the courage to walk in obedience. We also pray for peace and trust in His perfect timing. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
