Dreading the Talk

I am seriously dreading being forced into having "a talk" with my parents tomorrow about my new boyfriend. He's a great godly guy but he doesn't meet their list of expectations. Pray for God's protection over me. May He block my heart from being slimed on by their guilt, paranoia, and controlling behavior. Talks like these before have been very hurtful to me and led me to make decisions I later regretted just out of desperation to cope. I'm an adult but I have to live with my parents for financial reasons so I can't easily avoid them. I really need God's help to cope!!!

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, that our Dear Lord will see you through your difficult situations, when you are discouraged and full of unspeakable fear. I ask you Lord Jesus that you walk beside your children during those hard times. They cannot carry their burdens, but we know that You can and You will, oh God.

 

I pray that You guide your children and help them to stay strong no matter what comes their way. I also pray that You help their faith to get stronger and that your children continue to grow in You. In Your Love and Your Holy Spirit, we abide, Amen.
