We come before You, our Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for the privilege to draw near to Your throne of grace, as Hebrews 4:16 encourages us, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." We recognize that it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ, Your Son, that we have this access to You. There is no other name by which we can be saved, as Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

We lift up this request, asking that You would renew our first love for You, as Revelation 2:4 reminds us to remember from where we have fallen and repent. May we tend to our own vineyards, as Song of Solomon 1:6 says, and keep our gardens well, just as Adam was commanded in Genesis 2:15 to dress and keep the garden. We pray for the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, as Ephesians 1:17 describes, that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened, and we may know what is the hope of Your calling.

Father, we ask that You open our minds to understand the Scriptures, as You did for the disciples in Luke 24:45. May we study Your Word diligently, as 2 Timothy 2:15 instructs, "Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth." We pray for intercession according to Your will, as 1 Timothy 2:1-4 encourages us to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.

Lord, we seek clarity and order in our lives, as 1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us that You are not a God of confusion, but of peace. May this order bring grace to our daily chores and wisdom for our pressing needs, as Titus 3:14 says, "Let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful." We long for fellowship with the Trinity and with our helpmates, family, friends, and even the lost, as 1 John 1:1-3 describes the joy of fellowship with the Father, the Son, and one another.

We pray for simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ, as 2 Corinthians 11:3 warns us, "But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." May we experience angelic ministry and protection, as seen in Genesis 19:16, 1 Kings 19:6, Psalm 91:10-11, Hebrews 1:14, Acts 12:7, and Hebrews 13:2. We proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins in Jesus' name, as Luke 24:47 declares, and pray for faith and assurance, as John 20:31 and 1 John 5:13 promise, that we may know that we have eternal life.

Father, we pray for the conversion of sinners, as Psalm 51:13 says, "Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners shall be converted to you." Protect us from temptation and evil, as Matthew 6:13 teaches us to pray, "Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." Keep us from sin, as Zephaniah 3:13 describes the remnant of Israel who will do no iniquity. Guard us from evil people and the evil one, as 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 and John 17:15 remind us that we are not of the world, even as Jesus is not of the world.

We pray for strength and wisdom to know the dimensions of Christ's love, as Ephesians 3:16-19 implores, "that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." May we walk worthy of You, Lord, as Colossians 1:9-11 encourages, "that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy."

We ask that our lives would bear much fruit, as John 15:7-8 promises, "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples." May we be productive in every good work, as Titus 3:14 instructs, and may our love come from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith, as 1 Timothy 1:5 describes.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for these things not for our own glory, but for Yours. May our lives reflect Your love, Your wisdom, and Your grace. May we be lights in this dark world, pointing others to the salvation that is found only in Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
