We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Provider of all things, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would move in the hearts of those who have the power to grant this funding, that they would see the value in preserving these jobs and the well-being of those who depend on them. Lord, we pray for favor in this meeting, that wisdom and clarity would guide the conversation, and that Your will would be done in this matter.
The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, trusting that You know the needs of each person affected by this downsizing. We ask that You would open doors of provision and opportunity, whether through this funding or another avenue You have prepared.
We also pray for peace and trust in Your sovereignty. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, help those facing uncertainty to lean on You, to cast their anxieties on You, and to find rest in Your faithfulness.
If there is fear or doubt in this situation, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. Fear does not come from God, but from the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to walk in faith, not fear.
We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom for your own steps. If this season leads to a change, remember that God has a plan for your life, and He will not abandon you. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Lord, we ask that You would go before this meeting, soften hearts, and align circumstances according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your people experience Your provision and peace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
