I sounds like you are trying to "do" the commands of Deuteronomy 28:1-2
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe
and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
That is an Old Testament way to God, and does not work these days. In the New Testament covenant He has already given believers all His blessings. The fruit of the Spirit is already yours, and it is in your new spirit which you have been given when you received the gift of salvation. The faith of Jesus has been given to you. Every spiritual blessing you could ever want or need has already been given to you. The power to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons has already been given to you. The ability to multiply loaves and fishes and feed the multitudes has already been given to you. The faith to move mountains has already been given to you.
It is like all these things have been given to you in a beautiful package called Jesus. He has given you Himself. You do not need to sacrifice and pray for something you have already been given. You are trying to "work" for what you want instead of just believing and receiving what you want.
Here is a teaching you may need to listen to.
Audio Teachings
In Mark 9:29 we have Jesus telling His disciples;
Mark 9:29 (KJV)
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
This "kind" was their unbelief. Unbelief can be eliminated through fasting and prayer. Fasting and prayer is usually used to get something out of us, not trying to get something from God. God is not stuck and has already given us all things to lead a Godly life.
2 Peter 1:2-3 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you
through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
We gain these things in our life "through the knowledge of God". We renew our minds to the Word of God to be transformed into children of God.
In the name of Jesus, I bless you with the life of God.
