Doubt

To be honest with you, I am questioning the effectivity of prayer itself at all. I hear all these people praying for healing and I have seen probably seven people die who I have prayed to God in Jesus' name with fasting to be healed. I really don't know what to believe right now. People are healed in Hindu religions, scientology and other practices. What is the answer? If healing is God's promise for the church today? Why does it take so - long to even get Him to listen to our prayers for it? Does He hear? Does He really exist, or are all my prayers, taking communion, and "fellowship with the Holy Spirit" experiences I make up in my mind? Is the Bible for real, or fiction? Why do so many who claim to be Christian not act like Jesus? Why does the "church" who is supposed to be the "Body of Christ" not love like Jesus did? We could cast out Peter or Mary Magdalene, Paul the apostle or "doubting Thomas" today. We would! What does ANYONE have to say about this? Why have I prayed for FOUR YEARS for people's salvation and they hate God more than they did when I first met them? I don't get it. I don't know if God loves or hates me. I don't know what's real right now. I certainly don't have faith that the church is the body of Christ, and if they are, I really don't believe they are alive, because they are not connected to the "Head" for sure. Decapitated believers can't be alive. If the body is separated from the head, it can't be alive. Am I being too honest? Can this be a prayer request?

God is the God of increase. Everything He does, He does with multiplication. The Bible says: without faith it's impossible to please Him.

Every day you doubt, you potentially add one year of waiting for an answer to prayer.

Where do I get that number? The Israelites doubted they could defeat the Anakim in the Promised Land for 40 days, & their doubt left them wandering in the wilderness just miles from their desired destination for 40 years. Each day of doubt cost them 1 year. Think about that when you ask God for something. The second you allow doubt, you move back your blessing for an increased amount of time.

it is our attitude towards God that make us to experience him the way he is, God can't force no one to trust in him or believe in him but if you believed that he exist and he is the re warder of those who trust in him you will see power

Dear ###...thank you for your honestly!

I think the answer is that God is God, and He does whatsoever He chooses. If He wants to call a person home and give them a whole new body - that is an answer too. Yes, He does hear us when we pray, but He answers in ways we cannot always comprehend - His timing and ways are different. As to those people you prayed for - I’m sure God will answer in His ways in His timing. If you want to know if the Bible is really the word of God - walk with the spirit. This is how we know we abide in Him - we know it by the spirit He gave us.

"Not my will but Yours, oh Lord." We should bring our cares and requests to God with unwavering faith that He hears each and every one. He has His methods and timing and reasons. Have great confidence that He is in control! Although outcomes may not be what we hoped - He promises to work all things out for our good. The loss of a loved one, failing health, a difficult relationship, financial needs - may be a time when we are to grow in our faith - to take our eyes off our pains and circumstances and learn to cling to God and trust Him in a new way. It's something I've been learning a lot lately and some days feel dark - that's when I know I need God even more! Be blessed and encouraged today - our Savior loves you!

Let’s Pray…God You said in Your Word, "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." I am calling upon You today, right now. I confess with my mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus forgive me of all my sins. Come live in my heart and make me the child of God you will be proud to call Your own. (Rom. 10:9,10,13)

Bless me to come to know You, love You with all my heart, and walk in obedience to Your Holy Word. Jesus Help me to do the will of God as You did Jesus upon this earth. Bless me, Protect me, Heal me, and Deliver me from all evil. Bless me to prosper, be in excellent health as my soul prospers in You. Amen.

I understand your doubt. I believe that doubt will make you search for The Lord and through His Word deeper than ever. I just did a study on the book of Job. It has helped me. But remember you only need faith of a mustard seed and as things start to change around you and you see small differences and giving the praises to God you will see that your faith will grow stronger and stronger. I am struggling as well. Also because I am trying to make sense of it all in my mind. I cannot see what God can see. I am not able to see the whole picture as God can so little by little I have to trust that He knows why. And believe that trials are not retribution for sins. All persons go through trial and doubts but God somehow knows best.

So all you need is a little faith and give God glory for small things and blessings you will see your faith grow.
