We hear the deep weariness and heartache in your words, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The Lord sees your pain, and He is not distant from your suffering. In times when trust is broken and help seems nowhere to be found, we must remember that our hope is not in man, but in the Lord alone. *"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes."* (Psalm 118:8-9, WEB). When the world fails us, when people disappoint us, and when our strength is gone, God remains faithful. He is the one who says, *"I will never leave you or forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5, WEB).
It is clear that you are at a point of deep discouragement, and we want to gently remind you that even in this darkness, the Lord is working. He is refining your faith, teaching you to depend wholly on Him, and preparing you for what lies ahead. The apostle Paul faced immense trials and wrote, *"We are pressed in every way, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed; always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body"* (2 Corinthians 4:8-10, WEB). Your struggle is not in vain. The Lord is using this to draw you closer to Himself, to show you that He is enough.
But we must also ask: where are you turning for help? Have you sought the Lord in prayer and in His Word, or are you looking first to people, circumstances, or even your own understanding? *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered this burden fully to Him, we urge you to do so now. Lay it at His feet and trust that He will guide you, even when the path is unclear.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and this is something we must address with love and urgency. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). It is only through faith in Christ—His death for our sins and His resurrection—that we have access to God’s throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we plead with you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in Him. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). Without Jesus, there is no true hope, no lasting peace, and no access to the Father. But in Him, you will find all that you need.
Now, let us pray for you together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cries. Lord, they feel abandoned, unsure of where to turn or whom to trust. But we declare that You, O God, are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Father, we ask that You would meet them in this place of desperation. Open their eyes to see that You are near, that You have not forgotten them, and that Your plans for them are good. Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself today. Softens their heart to receive Your truth, to repent of their sins, and to place their faith in Christ alone.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and confusion that has taken hold. We command it to flee in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide their steps, Lord, and lead them to godly counsel, to brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk alongside them in this season. Provide for their needs, Father, whether spiritual, emotional, or physical. Remind them that You are Jehovah Jireh, their Provider, and that You will never leave them lacking.
Lord, we ask that You would restore their trust—not in man, but in You. Heal the wounds of betrayal and disappointment. Strengthen them to forgive those who have failed them, just as You have forgiven us in Christ. And Father, if there is any sin in their life that has created a barrier between them and You, we pray that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Bring them to repentance, Lord, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness.
We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it (Romans 8:28). Give them the grace to wait on You, to trust in Your timing, and to rest in Your promises. May they find their hope renewed in You alone.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily. Start with the Psalms—they are filled with raw, honest cries to God in the midst of suffering, and they always point back to His faithfulness. Read also the Gospels, and remind yourself of who Jesus is and what He has done for you. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and speak truth into your life. And above all, keep seeking the Lord. He will not fail you. *"The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh will not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10, WEB). Stay steadfast, dear one. The Lord is with you.
