Don't have a weakness for "that one sin"

I notice that a lot of "old fashioned conservative minded" people, holdovers from their generation before the world went completely bonkers, and for that matter, even worse, several Christians I've heard talk, they're "on track" with renouncing what should be renounced. But the disturbing thing I do seem to notice is, all of them there seems to be one sin that they seem to kind of approve of. Like, one could agree with the Bible, yet kind of condone, say abortion, maybe they have an unsaved wife and are influenced by her. Or they may renounce other sins, but say, well, smoking a little pot now and then "isn't so bad", after all, they reason, God created the marijuana plant. Or if not that, they "have a soft spot" for gays, and make excuses for them. OR, a Christian may vote for a Democrat, a party which openly backs, and protests for, many ungodly lifestyles, and want to pass laws that benefit the sinners, but hurt the Christians. Now then....since all the sins mentioned in the Bible are sin, aren't they "off base" by making excuses for, in order to condone, the "one sin" they have a soft spot for? If all sin is sin, aren't they wrong to "condone" one? I mean, sin is sin. Why say one sin is alright? Sounds a little misleading to me. No?

I understand what you're saying. In my experience I've tried to influence people to make an alternative choice. e.g. If a person makes an informed decision to e.g. terminate a pregnancy, I can't pass judgement. It's their choice. If they change their mind by choosing other options I thank God. Unfortunately I still support them emotionally if they choose otherwise. These are the situations that leave me unsure. What would Jesus do? _situations. A person infected with HIV is another example. My business is to provide support not to judge them regarding sexual behaviours. Behaviour change communication does that for me to bring positive change without judging.
Preachers of the Gospel also teach the word relating it to our daily life experiences with a hope that it will guide us to make sin-free choices.
I realise that we are speaking from different world views. The common denominator is the word of God/ teachings of Jesus.
Yeah but can't that cross over into assisting them in the sin? Like if a devil worshipper's car broke down, and he asked you to take him to a devil-worshipping meeting, or if the rapture is after the tribulation, and a neighbor asks you to take them to the center to get the mark of the beast, knowing it would damn their soul, I don't think we should assist them in committing spiritual suicide. My point would be, it's one thing not to be judgemental, but another to cross over the line and actually give ASSISTANCE to someone in their sin. If I drive a homosexual to meet his boyfriend, and they have sex, aren't I leading him into sin by making it easier? And wouldn't God notice that? In other words, being non-judgemental, one thing, but assisting them to make it easier to sin, I don't think God would appreciate that. Like I've had a drug addict neighbor ask me to lend him money for drugs, or take him to meet his dealer, and another person once asked me to lie in court to assist his cause. To me, helping someone to do wrong, I think we become like partakers in their sin. We have to use judgement with their requests.
