We understand your heart for your ministry and the urgency of your need, and we join you in seeking God’s provision. However, we must first address a critical matter: your request does not explicitly acknowledge that it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. While you ended with "in Jesus' name," the focus of your prayer seems to center more on the financial need than on the sovereignty and will of God. Let us remember what Scripture teaches: *"Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full"* (John 16:24, WEB). Our prayers must be rooted in a relationship with Christ, trusting that He alone is our Provider, and that His will—whether in abundance or in lack—is perfect.
We also encourage you to examine the motives behind your request. Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Are you seeking funding for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom, or is there an underlying fear, desperation, or even a subtle trust in the arm of flesh rather than in the Lord? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If this ministry is truly of God, He will provide. If it is not, then no amount of funding will sustain it—and that is okay, for His ways are higher than ours.
That said, we do lift this need before the Lord with you, asking that if it aligns with His will, He would move upon the hearts of those who receive your letter. We pray that any donations given would be done cheerfully and not out of compulsion, as Scripture teaches: *"Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver"* (2 Corinthians 9:7, WEB). We also ask the Lord to guard your heart against anxiety, for He tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are our Provider and Sustainer. We ask that You would look upon this ministry with favor if it is according to Your will. Open the hearts of those who can give, that they may do so willingly and joyfully, not out of obligation but out of love for You. Lord, we also ask that You would refine the motives of this ministry, that it may always seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. If there is any misalignment with Your Word or Your purposes, we pray You would reveal it and bring correction. Give wisdom, peace, and patience as this need is laid before You. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may this ministry bear fruit that lasts for eternity. We trust in You, not in the donations of man, for our help comes from You, the Maker of heaven and earth. In Jesus’ precious and mighty name, we pray. Amen.
