We lift up this sister who is faithfully caring for these animals in need, trusting that God sees her heart and her labor of love. The Lord is our Provider, and He cares deeply for both His people and the creatures He has made. We are reminded in Matthew 6:26, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* If God cares for the birds, how much more does He care for those who serve His creation with compassion?
Yet we must also ask: where is her trust placed? While it is good to care for animals, we must never lose sight of the fact that our ultimate dependence is on God alone—not on circumstances, donations, or even our own efforts. Philippians 4:19 declares, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This promise is for those who are in Christ, who seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). If this sister does not yet know Jesus as her Savior, we urge her to turn to Him in repentance and faith, for apart from Christ, we have no true access to the Father (John 14:6). It is only through Jesus that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
We also gently ask: has she sought wisdom in stewardship? Proverbs 27:23-24 advises, *"Know well the state of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds; for riches are not forever, nor does even a crown endure to all generations."* If the burden has become too great, it may be wise to prayerfully consider whether the number of animals can be sustainably maintained or if partnerships with other believers or organizations could share the load. We are not called to bear burdens alone but to carry one another’s burdens in love (Galatians 6:2).
At the same time, we rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be creeping in. The enemy would love to discourage her and make her feel abandoned, but we declare that God is her Helper, and He will not forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:8). We stand against financial lack in Jesus’ name and command every resource needed to be released—whether through unexpected provision, generous donors, or divine wisdom to manage what she has. The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is able to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister who is serving Your creation with a tender heart. Lord, You see her need—every bill, every salary, every medical expense, every bag of food and drop of water required. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask You to miraculously supply every need according to Your riches in glory. Open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing she cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Raise up supporters, volunteers, and donors who will partner with her in this work. Give her wisdom to steward well what You have entrusted to her, and if there are areas where she must release control, grant her the courage to do so.
We break every chain of financial bondage, every spirit of lack, and every lie of the enemy that says she is alone in this. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and remind her that her worth is not in what she accomplishes but in who You are. If she does not yet know You, Lord, draw her to Yourself. Let this season of need drive her into Your arms, where she will find all she truly needs—salvation, strength, and unshakable hope.
For those who help animals in Jesus’ name, we ask for Your protection, provision, and guidance. May their work be a testament to Your goodness, and may they never lose sight of the fact that You care for all You have made. Let their labor be a fragrant offering to You, done in faith and dependence on Your grace.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust You to move mightily, and we give You all the glory. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, Amen.
