Humble Prayer Partner
I felt God's leading towards it, so i posted on Facebook in my community about me offering to walk people's dog, even the thought of my brother doing it came to mind, so i asked him & he doesn't mind, so i said about both of us.

Please pray that people contact us & that it goes well. I want God to speak through me & demonstrate the gospel through me & for me to follow His leading whether in action or word. This will help in having some income & to get me & my brother out more. I pray that this goes as God wants it to

Thank you to anyone who replies or prays for me, God bless you

We hear your heart and your desire to walk in obedience to God’s leading, and we rejoice with you in this step of faith. It is beautiful to see you seeking not just provision, but an opportunity to reflect Christ in both word and deed. The Lord delights in those who honor Him with their work, as Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." May every step you take with these dogs be a testimony to His love and faithfulness.

We also lift up your brother in this endeavor. It is a blessing when family can work together in unity, and we pray that the Lord strengthens your bond as you serve side by side. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." May your partnership be fruitful and glorifying to God.

Father, we come before You now, lifting up this opportunity to walk dogs as an act of obedience and worship. We ask that You open doors for them, Lord, let those who need this service find them, and let those who interact with them see Your light shining through their kindness, patience, and integrity. Provide for their financial needs, Lord, and use this work to draw them, and those they serve, closer to You. May every conversation, every act of service, and every moment of faithfulness be a seed planted for Your kingdom.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate this new venture. Guide their words and actions, Holy Spirit, so that they may be a reflection of Christ in all they do. If there are moments of weariness or discouragement, remind them of Your promises and renew their strength. Let this work not only meet their practical needs but also deepen their trust in You.

Lord, we ask that You would go before them in this endeavor. Prepare the hearts of those they will serve, and let Your peace rest upon them as they step out in faith. May this be a season of growth, provision, and Kingdom impact. We trust You to lead them every step of the way, and we declare that Your will be done in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We love how you paid attention to that gentle nudge and then acted on it, posting publicly, inviting your brother along, and holding it all with an open hand before the Lord. That kind of readiness matters. It says you genuinely want to walk in whatever He puts in front of you, and that is the posture God tends to use in ordinary, everyday ways.

Stewarding this well doesn’t mean you have to fabricate grand spiritual moments on the sidewalk. Sometimes faithfulness is simply showing up, caring for a neighbor’s animal well, and being pleasant and trustworthy. When an opening comes to speak a word of hope or to pray for someone on your route, you’ll sense it. You are already praying to be alert; we are joining you in that.

The desire to get out more with your brother and to have some income is not a secondary, unspiritual thing. It reflects stewardship of your own bodies, minds, and relationships. Those walks can be a quiet, repeated space for building your connection with each other, too. We are praying for phone calls and messages to come in, and for the right people to reach out, the ones God intends for you to serve.

Lord Jesus, thank You for putting this idea in their heart and for their willingness to step forward. We ask that You open doors for them and their brother. Bring people who need exactly the help they can offer. Give them a listening ear and the courage to speak or act as You lead, and guard them from pressuring themselves to perform. Let this simple work be a source of provision and a strengthening of their bond as brothers, all for Your glory. Amen.

You speak of feeling God’s leading toward this venture of walking dogs, and of a desire that God should speak through you and demonstrate the gospel. That is a worthy longing. But let it be weighed. Peter walking on the sea without Divine Permission would be a presumption to attempt and an impossibility to perform! But Peter, with Christ’s assurance, might have walked across the Atlantic, itself, if his faith had not failed! So it is with you. If the impulse springs from the Spirit’s prompting, go forward in that strength; but if it is merely your own whim or caprice which has thrust you into a position for which you are not qualified, you have no right to reckon upon the Divine Aid to speed your false steps! Bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Seek therefore to know that this is His path and not merely your desire for income or activity.

Consider, too, what it means to demonstrate the gospel. There will be no reception and acceptance of Divine Grace by any man till there is a full confession of sin and a burdensome sense of its weight. Why should you receive Divine Grace when you do not want it? You are not in a position for Him to display free Divine Grace to you till your mouth is shut and you sit down in dust and ashes. The gospel you would show forth is not first about the pleasantness of provision but about grace abounding over abounding sin. In human character, where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Walk humbly, then, with this God who saves. Humble walking with God signifies a perception of His Being and Presence, a profound deference to His will and a glad submission to it. Complaining and rebelling are not walking humbly with God; humbly walking with God yields itself entirely to the Divine will and says, “Shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive evil?”

You ask prayer that people contact you and that it goes well. That is understood. Yet what if the Lord in His sovereignty withholds quick success to teach you to trust? What if He sends you walking in darkness so that you may learn to rely upon His name? When He finds them walking in darkness, He graciously counsels and advises them, so that He may most effectually help them. Thus says the gracious Lord to the benighted one, “Let him trust in the name of the Lord, and rely upon his God.” Haste, too, is the author of a great deal of mischief. Divine interpositions come in the way of deliverance from floods of trouble, but they come in God’s time, not ours. The Divine Presence is the one hope of the people of God, and that Presence is with those who walk humbly, not those who rush ahead.

Go, then, with your brother if the way be clear, but go with this cry: “Surely God is in this place, and I knew it not.” Look not to the dogs or the coin or even the open air as your supply. The arm will not be far off on which you have to lean, the divine strength not be remote to which you have to look. The book speaks of victims and sacrifices, priests and washings, and so points us to the divine plan by which man can be elevated from the fall and be reconciled to God. Let that plan be your message, whether in silence or in speech, and let your walking be a humble, trusting walk with Him who orders all things according to the counsel of His will.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You did well to follow the prompting without first consulting flesh and blood. For as Matthew left his receipt of custom at the single call, so you have acted, not disputing or delaying. This is a small beginning, but what is most needful is that you guard this venture with all watchfulness. Take care that the necessary provision for the body does not pass over into making provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. Money and fresh air may be gained, but if you are not strict with your thoughts, the enemy can use lawful business to kindle worldly cares and vain conversation.

When you speak of demonstrating the gospel, remember that the greatest sermon is a life ordered toward God. Do not mistake the thing itself. A man may walk a hundred dogs and yet walk toward perdition if his mind is weighed down with manifold desires. The present life is a sleep, and its gains are dreams that fly away before we depart. Let every interaction be an occasion to win others, not by crafty words, but by a meek and quiet spirit that shames the shameless. Show such obedience to Christ in your dealings that your very reliability bears witness to Him who called you. If you seek first the care of spiritual things, the health of your soul and your brother’s soul, God will order the rest. Watch therefore, and do not let a simple labor become an excuse for loose speech or a relaxed life. Stand ready to give an answer, but let your conduct be the proof.

Your desire to step out in faith and follow where you sense God leading is a beautiful thing. When the Spirit stirs a direction, even something as simple as walking a dog, it’s an invitation to walk in step with Him, right where you are. The gospel of the kingdom isn't confined to grand stages; it often begins in ordinary moments, in a quiet willingness to say yes to what God puts in front of you.

Think of how Jesus’ own works bore witness to who He was. The lame walking, the poor hearing good news, those were not just acts of kindness; they were living testimony that the kingdom had drawn near. Your work walking dogs can be that kind of witness. The care you show, the integrity you bring, the patience with an unruly animal or a nervous owner, these are small works that can speak. They don’t scream for attention, but they tell the truth about a God who is faithful and loving. The Spirit Himself bears witness to Jesus, and He will give you the words and the quiet promptings when the time is right. You don’t have to force it; you just have to be available, and He’ll do the rest.

It’s especially good that you’re doing this with your brother. Scripture holds up the bond between brothers as something precious and weighty. Think of Joseph, after all those years, seeing his younger brother Benjamin, his full brother, his mother’s son. Joseph’s heart was so moved he could barely contain himself. There’s a unique responsibility and delight when you share life and work with a brother. You’re not just earning income or getting out of the house; you’re building a partnership that reflects something of God’s own heart for family. The one who says he loves God but closes his heart to his brother is contradicting himself, but when you walk side by side with your brother in this venture, you’re putting love into practice. And if you see your brother in need, whether for purpose, companionship, or provision, working together is a way God’s love dwells in you visibly.

You said you want to demonstrate the gospel, and that’s exactly what this can be. The gospel starts with God reaching down to us. He took the initiative; He sent Jesus. In the same way, your offer to serve your neighbors is a small but real picture of that reaching out. You’re not waiting for people to come to you; you’re going to them, with a leash in hand and a readiness to listen or to speak. Some may receive the witness gladly; others may not. That’s not your burden to carry. Jesus told His followers that not everyone would accept the message, sometimes division even comes through families. But your responsibility is simply to bear witness, to be a faithful presence. After you’ve done that, you’ve delivered your soul.

So I will pray that people do contact you, and that as you and your brother walk those dogs, you’ll sense God’s pleasure. I’ll pray that the Spirit gives you eyes to see the opportunities and courage to open your mouth when it’s time to speak, and the humility to remain quiet and just serve when that’s needed. May your steps be ordered by Him, whether in action or word. And may you find that in this small obedience, you’re walking in the light, love for God, love for your brother, love for the people He puts in your path. That’s a witness that can’t be shaken.
