Does the devil deceive HIMSELF?

We know that the devil has kept the unsaved captive by deceiving them into thinking they're on the right path when they're on the wrong path. {Through false religions, etc.} Of course, he also tries to put wrong thoughts in Christians' heads, if they temporarily "turn away." But we also know that the devil does know the Scriptures, based on when he confronted Jesus after fasting for 40 days and praying. The devil, although twisting the Scriptures to suit his purposes, apparently does know them, because he quotes them. Yet if he has spiritual insight {including knowing the prophecies of the last days. "Woe to the Earth and to the sea, for the devil has come down to you, having great anger, KNOWING HE HAS A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME"}. Ok, but knowing these things, he still tries to deceive those he knows can't be deceived. Like, if he knows Scripture, doesn't he realize, for example, that Jesus would continue on to the Cross for our salvation? Yet he tried to convince Jesus to sin so He couldn't be spotless and save us.....which raises the question, if he's not doing it out of ignorance of Scripture, does he, in fact, besides deceiving others, actually deceive himself also? Seems so.

The devil is twisting scriptures, so if we hear someone quoting scriptures it must not mean that this person is right. Maybe he/she is twisting scriptures being deceived by religion, philosophy or witchcraft. So be aware all, and test spirits, in Jesus name, amen.

yes if u state thinking that u are the father to your creator then u are deceiving your self.coz it can neva happen that way.u can learn most things from your master but u can not know everything.one other thing is that the bible says evly one that believe in Jesus will be with God bt the devil thinks by tempting u,u will loose Heaven which is not true an example of this is the death of Moses.the devil claimed for his spirit bt actually Moses was saved.so after the death of Jesus my dear the devil is running a losing battle,Jesus wore it all all we need is to believe in Jesus.I love my Jesus.that's free salvation.it's not man's duty to force him self from sinning bt it's the Holy Spirit to change your heart after rising and believing in Jesus.
