Does astrology prediction have any power ?

Disciple of Prayer
Brother recently due to my curiosity I consulted astrologer for marriage prediction and they all told you will get married late. Hearing that I am afraid and terrified. Even after knowing truth I consulted it was my mistake. I ask pardon to God. But this fear is there I am in my early twenties and I had deep desire to get married soon for past few years. I recently talked with my mother regarding this and she told that we will start the search. But she asked to me pray and seek guidance of jesus. I dont have any unreasonable expectations. I am afraid of singlessness I dont want that gift it's very depressing I hate it. Pls pray for marriage to take place soon so that I can be a testimony to him in jesus name .

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer and encouragement. First, let us address the matter of astrology with the truth of God’s Word. Astrology is a practice that seeks guidance from the stars and celestial bodies, but Scripture is clear that our trust must be in the Lord alone. Jeremiah 10:2 warns, "Don’t learn the way of the nations, and don’t be dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at them." Astrology is rooted in divination, which God strictly forbids (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). The predictions you received are not from God, and they hold no power over your life. The fear they have stirred in you is not of the Lord, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have caused you to doubt God’s plan for your future, and we declare that His truth will prevail in your heart.

Your desire for marriage is not wrong, God Himself said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him" (Genesis 2:18). However, we must guard our hearts against fear and impatience, trusting that God’s timing is perfect. The enemy would love to keep you in bondage to anxiety, but we declare that you are free in Christ. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Your mother’s wisdom in directing you to prayer and seeking Jesus is a beautiful example of godly counsel. We encourage you to continue in this posture of surrender, laying your desires before the Lord and trusting Him to lead you to the spouse He has prepared for you.

We also want to gently address the fear of singleness that weighs on your heart. Singleness is not a curse or a punishment, it is a season that God can use for His glory. The apostle Paul even speaks of the advantages of singleness in serving the Lord without distraction (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). However, we understand that your heart longs for marriage, and that is a good and holy desire when aligned with God’s will. We pray that the Lord would fill you with peace as you wait, knowing that He is writing your story and that His plans for you are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling with fear and uncertainty about her future. Lord, we thank You that she has turned to You for guidance and that she desires to honor You in her life. We ask that You would break the chains of fear that have taken hold of her heart. Your Word says that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), so we pray that You would fill her with Your perfect love, reminding her that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace.

Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have come through astrology and divination. We declare that no prediction or sign from the sky has power over her life, for You alone hold her future. We ask that You would cleanse her heart from any residue of fear or doubt and replace it with faith and trust in Your perfect timing. Lord, we pray for her future spouse, that You would prepare his heart even now to love and cherish her as Christ loves the Church. We ask that You would bring them together in Your perfect timing, and that their marriage would be a testimony to Your goodness and faithfulness.

Father, we also pray for patience and contentment in this season of waiting. Help her to find joy in You and to trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Give her the strength to resist the temptation to worry or take matters into her own hands, and instead, to rest in Your promises. We ask that You would surround her with godly community, friends, family, and mentors who will encourage her and pray for her as she waits.

Lord, we declare that her story is not one of loneliness or despair, but one of hope and purpose. We pray that You would use this season to draw her closer to You, deepening her faith and preparing her for the blessings You have in store. May she be a light to others, pointing them to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Sister, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in the Psalms, where you will find comfort and reassurance of God’s faithfulness. Psalm 37:4-5 says, "Also delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." As you delight in Him, He will align your desires with His will. We also encourage you to seek out godly mentors, women who have walked this path before you and can offer wisdom and support. Surround yourself with believers who will pray for you and remind you of God’s promises.

Remember, the enemy wants to keep you focused on fear and uncertainty, but God calls you to fix your eyes on Him. Hebrews 12:2 says, "Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith." Keep your gaze on Jesus, and He will lead you into the future He has prepared for you. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God is at work even now, orchestrating the details of your life for His glory. You are not forgotten, and you are not alone. The Lord sees your heart, and He will fulfill the desires He has placed within you in His perfect timing.

We hear the ache in your words, the fear that latched on after you heard those predictions, the shame over having consulted astrologers, and the deep longing to marry and not face years of singleness. Please know: those predictions have no authority over your life. The stars and charts are created things; Jesus alone holds your future, and He gave His life for you because He delights in you. The enemy loves to use words like “late” to rattle our peace, but those words are hollow next to the God who writes every one of your days before one of them comes to be.

You’ve already done the right thing by confessing your curiosity to the Lord. He isn’t holding this over you, He received your honest sorrow and threw it into the sea. Now the fear is what needs tending. When the thoughts rush in, we find it helps to speak out loud, “Jesus, I trust You with my timeline. I give You my desire for marriage.” Practically, since your mother is about to begin the search and already asked you to pray, could you two set a short time each day, maybe over coffee or a walk, to simply pray together about this? Not as a frantic plea but as two people who love each other and place their hope in the same good Shepherd. That shared act of trust can drown out the anxious “what ifs.”

It’s okay to hate the thought of prolonged singleness; you’re allowed to want a spouse. God made you for relationship. At the same time, you are not on a barren shelf right now. This season, even while you wait, can become part of your testimony, not of a late marriage, but of a Christ who sustained you and shaped your heart so that when you do marry, you’ll know beyond doubt that He is the One who brought it about.

We’re joining you in praying, and we’re confident Jesus hears every word.

Jesus, we lift up our brother who feels trapped between his dream of a godly marriage and a fear planted by words he now regrets. Quiet the storm inside him. Let Your peace replace the racing thoughts, and remind him that You are not a distant clockmaker, You are the God who sings over him and delights in the details of his life. Give him and his mother wisdom and patience as they begin this search. In Your timing, whether soon or in what feels like a stretch, open the door for a marriage that will honor You and bring him joy. Heal the wound of fear, and make his story a testimony not of an astrologer’s word but of Your faithful kindness. Amen.

It is the very nature of fear to magnify shadows and shrink the soul. You heard a word from an astrologer, and now terror grips you as though that word were a decree from heaven. But what is astrology? It is the whispering of those who peer at stars instead of seeking the God who made the stars. You sinned in consulting it, and you know it. You have confessed it. Now hear the gospel: the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin, even this. The moment you brought your guilt to the cross, God cast it into the depths of the sea. Do not let the memory of forgiven folly become a fresh snare of unbelief.

But the fear of singleness, that is the deeper agony. You say you hate the thought, that it depresses you. I will not scorn that fear, for fear is always distressing, and whether it springs from outward danger or inward turmoil, it drains the soul of strength. Yet this fear, like the fear of death, must be mastered by faith. Why should you tremble at a prediction that has no power except what you give it? One sin confessed and forsaken finds mercy; but one prediction from a deceived mortal, does that bind the living God? The Lord holds your times in His hands. The stars do not dictate His purposes; they but declare His glory, not your sorrow.

Your mother has given you sound counsel: pray and seek the guidance of Jesus. You desire marriage, and that longing is not evil in itself. The marriage union is a sweet gift, a relationship of choice and love, a picture of Christ and His church. But if you would have it, you must take care that you do not make an idol of it. Are you trusting in marriage to deliver you from loneliness, as though Christ were not enough? Beware of anxiety and ambition for a state that may not yet be God’s best for you. The apostle speaks of some who, through fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage, and I tell you, the fear of singleness can bind just as cruelly. But Christ came to deliver you from every fear that dishonors Him. Will you trust the timetable of the One who gave His Son for you? The question is not whether you will marry soon, but whether you are trusting in the Lord with all your heart.

Think on this: God’s Word lives. It is not a dead letter. You can take a promise and live upon it. Has He not said, “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly”? If marriage is a good thing for you, you shall have it. If He withholds it for a season, or even for a lifetime, do you suppose He will not give you grace enough to bear it? That is where the real battle lies. You must come to the point where you can say, “Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done.” I have learned in my own soul that God often teaches us most in the school of disappointment. I would not willingly have missed any of my trials, for they have taught me more of His faithfulness than ease ever could.

You are in your early twenties. That is youth, and I bid you seek early the assembling of yourselves together with God’s people. Use the means of grace. Observe how God deals with others. Wait upon Him in prayer. Your mother’s urging to pray is right; but pray not merely for a husband, pray first for a heart that rests in Christ alone. When the fear rises, meet it with this: “I am married unto the Lord. He is my Maker, my Husband, my Redeemer. In His time He will provide what is needful.” Do you believe that the same Savior who bore your sins will fail to order your steps? Faith is the golden ring that seals the marriage bond between your soul and your God. Exercise it now.

As for being a testimony, you desire that your marriage would glorify Him. Good. Then let your single days do the same. A quiet, trusting, patient spirit shines brighter than a thousand complaints. Let your testimony be this: “I was afraid, but I trusted in God. I sinned by hearkening to foolish voices, but I turned to Jesus and found mercy. Now I leave my future in His hands, and I will not be afraid, for He is with me.” That will be a sweeter savor than any hurried marriage born of panic.

I would not have you limp along in doubt. You can know now that you are saved. You can know now that your sins are covered. And you can know that He who began a good work in you will complete it. The fear of what may or may not happen years hence is a needless torment. Today has enough grace for today. Use the telescope of faith to look beyond the passing clouds, and behold the steadfast love of your God. He has not forsaken you. He will not begin now. Pray, and let your mother search; but let your heart be fixed, trusting in the Lord. He will do all things well.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ran to the stars as if they could chart your future, and now fear has made a nest in your heart. But tell me, what power do these predictions have? They are the whispers of demons who seek to drive you to despair. The devil never gives up hope of our destruction, yet we so easily abandon hope in God. You know you sinned in consulting them, and you have asked pardon. God does not reproach the past when we repent; He remembers it no more.

The astrologer told you marriage will come late. What of it? If it were true, will it be because the stars ordain it? There is no fate, no necessity, but only the loving providence of God. When we listen to such lies, we deny the Resurrection, the Judgment, the very hand of the Creator. The wicked are full of fear, starting from their sleep, trembling at every shadow, their soul replete with grievous expectation. That is the fruit of seeking guidance from the enemy. But it is the soul that rests in calm and quiet that knows its proper nobility.

Noah was warned of things not yet seen, and moved with godly fear, he built the ark. Reason saw clear skies, yet he feared God. Why do you not fear God instead of these words of men? “God hath scattered the bones of the men-pleasers,” the prophet says. Do not be a pleaser of men, hanging on the breath of a soothsayer. Let your only fear be the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom.

Your mother gave you true counsel: pray and seek the guidance of Jesus. He bore witness of the Father; His testimony is sure. You desire marriage soon. That is no sin; the desire for a godly union is honorable. But do not let the dread of singleness become an idol. To hate the gift of singleness, if it were God’s will for a season, is to kick against the goad. The body has its masters on earth, but the soul is free. Serve the Lord with singleness of heart, whether married or waiting, and you will have a testimony far brighter than any hurried wedding could provide.

Do not despair because you stumbled. Even those who have lived in vice may surpass the careless righteous. Only cleave to God earnestly. Rivet your heart to His fear, not to the terror of a prediction. The words of astrologers scatter like dust; the word of the Lord stands forever. Pray, and let your mother begin the search. When God opens the door, no star can shut it. Be patient, and you will be a testimony, not because you married soon, but because you trusted when everything urged you to fear.

Your confession and sorrow over consulting that astrologer show that the Spirit of God is still at work in your heart. Let that fear of singleness and the memory of that foolish moment drive you to Jesus, not to despair. He met people trapped in cycles of guilt who kept asking, “Why did I ever do that?” and he did not leave them there. He forgave, cleansed, and gave them a new start. So let the blood of the Lamb cover this completely; stop beating yourself up and receive his mercy.

Astrology has no power over your future. Jesus showed his absolute authority over every dark spirit, every unclean thing. The enemy would love for you to live terrified of a human prediction, but the voice of a paid fortune-teller cannot overturn the counsel of the living God. Your life is not written in the stars but in the wounds of Christ. When he commands the wind and waves to be still, they obey. He is Lord over every false fear. So reject that prediction as the worthless lie it is; it has no say in when or how God brings a spouse into your life.

Look at how Jesus lived. He knew the Father’s timing perfectly, and he refused to rush ahead or let anyone force him into a premature role. He waited, even when crowds clamored and opportunities seemed urgent. His hour came exactly as the Father ordained. Your deep desire for marriage is not wrong, God himself designed the two to become one, but letting terror of singleness dominate you only chokes out the fruitfulness he wants to grow in you right now. The cares of this life can keep a believer spiritually stunted, always anxious, never resting in God’s faithfulness. Jesus taught that the greatest miracle is not a change in outward circumstances but being freed from the power of sin and brought into his kingdom of light. That is your first need. A spouse, however good a gift, cannot be your savior from loneliness; only his presence can fill that void.

Pray as Jesus prayed. He rose before dawn to commune with the Father, drawing his strength and guidance from that source. If he, the Son of God, saw prayer as his lifeline, how much more do you and I need it? Ask him to align your heart with his will, to teach you to trust his timing, and to give you contentment in this season. Do not wait until fear strikes; begin each day handing your longing over to him afresh. Let your mother’s advice become your daily practice: pray and seek Jesus himself, not just the gift of marriage.

The fear that you hate singleness so much might feel overwhelming, but remember the disciples in the storm. They cried out in terror as the boat filled with water, and after Jesus calmed the sea, he asked them, “Where is your faith?” They moved from one kind of fear to another, from panic to holy awe at his power. Let this moment bring you to that awe. Your singleness is not a punishment, and it is not a permanent decree spoken by an astrologer. It is simply where you are today, and the Lord is with you in the ship. Instead of dreading a lifetime, ask him to show you what he wants to do in you now, when you are pliable and teachable. Old wineskins couldn’t hold new wine; he wants your heart supple enough to receive his Spirit’s work, not so stiff with anxiety that it resists.

The very fact that you are concerned, that you want to be a testimony for him, proves his Spirit is still striving with you. He hasn’t left you, and he isn’t tired of you. Go ahead and move forward with the search your mother mentioned, but do it in rest, not panic. Commit your way to him, and let him write your testimony, not one of avoiding a late prediction, but of a life that trusts him when every earthly forecast says to be afraid. Your hope is not in your own resolve to marry soon, nor in your ability to never fail; it rests on the one who rose from the dead and holds every tomorrow in his hands.

We are so grateful you trusted us with your heart and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer. Your honesty about fear and your desire to walk in God’s will have touched us deeply. We have been lifting you before the Lord, asking Him to break every chain of anxiety tied to those astrological words and to replace your terror with His perfect peace. We prayed that the Holy Spirit would remind you daily that your future is written in God’s book, not in the stars, and that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the right time.

If the Lord has already answered—if you sense His peace guarding your heart or if your family has seen fresh doors open in the search for a spouse—please share that praise with us so we can rejoice together. If the fear still lingers and the wait feels long, we invite you to post your request again. We will continue to intercede, asking God to give you patience, to strengthen your trust in His timing, and to prepare the right person to walk beside you in a Christ-centered marriage.

Above all, we pray that you keep drawing near to Jesus, letting His love cast out every fear and His Word renew your mind. May you rest in the knowledge that you are deeply loved, purposefully designed, and never alone. In Jesus’ Name we pray.
