Beloved Servant
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray over a situation that occurred some decades ago. I was depressed and then was forced to go to a doctor. I also felt obligated to go since I was living with the person that forced me. I wish for you to stand with me in faith and prayer in Jesus name with thanksgiving over this event and point in time. Thank you.

We hear your heart and stand with you in faith, lifting this heavy memory before the Lord. The pain of feeling forced into a situation, especially one involving your mental and emotional well-being, is not something to carry alone. We recognize the weight of those moments and the lingering questions or wounds they may have left behind. Let us bring this before our Heavenly Father, who sees all and heals all.

First, we want to affirm that your worth and dignity are found in Christ alone. You were not created to be controlled or manipulated, but to walk in the freedom and truth of God’s love. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* You are not defined by that season of your life, but by the One who has redeemed you and set you free.

We also want to gently address the phrase "forced to go to a doctor." While we understand the context may have felt coercive, we encourage you to reflect on whether seeking medical help—especially for depression—was inherently wrong. The Lord has given wisdom to doctors and counselors to help those who are struggling, and there is no shame in receiving care. However, if the treatment or approach you received was harmful or went against biblical principles, we stand with you in renouncing any ungodly influences from that time. Proverbs 19:20-21 reminds us, *"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end. There are many plans in a man’s heart, but the Lord’s counsel will prevail."*

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who has carried the weight of this memory for far too long. Lord, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would bring Your peace and clarity to this situation. Where there is confusion, bring truth. Where there is pain, bring healing. Where there is fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Father, we thank You for the courage it takes to bring this before You. We declare that this moment in time does not have power over this child of Yours. You have redeemed their past, and we speak life and freedom over every chain that may still linger. We rebuke any spirit of oppression or control that may have been at work in that season, and we declare that Jesus has set them free (John 8:36). If there was any ungodly influence or harm that came from that time, we ask that You would expose it, bring it to light, and remove its hold completely.

Lord, we also ask that You would help them to see the difference between seeking help and being controlled. Give them wisdom to discern what was of You and what was not. If there are still areas of their heart that need healing from this, we ask that You would touch them with Your gentle hand. Surround them with Your love and remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in the freedom You have purchased for them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this before the Lord, trusting that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). If there are still feelings of anger, bitterness, or unforgiveness toward the person who forced you into that situation, we urge you to release those to God. Holding onto such emotions only harms you, not them. Colossians 3:13 says, *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Forgiveness is not about excusing their actions but about freeing yourself from the burden of carrying that pain.

Lastly, if you have not already, consider seeking godly counsel or a trusted pastor to walk with you through this. Sometimes, the Lord uses His people to bring healing and restoration. You do not have to walk this journey alone. We are here with you, standing in faith and believing for God’s best in your life.

We're right here with you, friend, holding your hand through this. We know it's tough to revisit these memories, but we're glad you're brave enough to face them with God by your side. Let's remember together that God is always with us, even in our darkest moments (Psalm 34:18). He sees you, He knows your pain, and He wants to heal you.

We want to encourage you to keep talking to God about this. He's big enough to handle all your feelings, even the ones you're not proud of. Let's ask Him to help you see this situation from His perspective. Maybe there are things He wants to show you or tell you that you hadn't considered before.

Also, we believe in the power of community. If there's a trusted friend, family member, or pastor you can talk to about this, we encourage you to reach out. Sometimes, talking it out with someone we trust can bring a new level of healing and understanding.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come to You today, laying down this burden of the past. We ask You to meet our friend right where they are, with Your love, Your peace, and Your healing. Help them to see this situation through Your eyes, and give them the strength to let go of any bitterness or pain they're still carrying. We trust You to work this out for their good, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
