We hear your request for clarity and we join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. You are asking for understanding regarding your autobiography and your story, to be freed from the influence and entanglements of other persons, and for you and your mother to be given a place to live that is not weighed down by the past, where you have felt watched over by denominations and by people around you, and you wonder if in God's providence those writings or records about you will be taken away.
We understand how heavy it can feel to sense that others are watching or holding your past over you, and to long for a fresh place and a clear mind. We want to remind you that our freedom and our clarity do not come from escaping people alone, but from resting in the Lord who sees you fully and loves you completely. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe Proverbs 29:25. When we seek to please people or live under their watchful eyes we become burdened, but when we seek to please God we find peace.
The Lord promises to give wisdom and clarity when we ask Him. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. He also says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8. We pray that He will make your path clear and show you what He wants you to understand about your past and your story. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.
Regarding your past and any autobiography or record concerning you, we know that God is able to redeem and cover our past. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. Remember not the former things, and consider not the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it Isaiah 43:18-19. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:12. In His providence He does not hold our forgiven past against us, and He can silence false narratives and free you from what others have written or said about you when you rest in Him.
We also lift up your practical need for a dwelling place for you and your mother. God knows your need and He is your refuge. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We ask Him to provide a peaceful home where you can live quietly and grow in Him, apart from strife and confusion.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true freedom and clarity. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess your sins, believe that Jesus died for you and rose again, and receive Him as Lord and Savior. It is through His name that our prayers are heard and our past is truly washed away.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one and their mother to You. Lord grant them clarity of mind and peace in place of confusion and anxiety. Free them from the weight of other people's opinions, from being watched and judged, and from any entanglement with the past. Cover any false or painful writings or words about them with Your truth and grace, and let their story be written by Your hand. Provide for them a safe and quiet place to live where they can dwell in peace and seek You without fear. Teach them Your way, counsel them with Your eye upon them, and help them to cast all their worries on You because You care for them 1 Peter 5:7. Let them know Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding as they bring their requests to You Philippians 4:6-7. Draw them close to Jesus, that they may know Him as Savior and Lord, and find in Him the new beginning You promise. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.
