Do We Realize the Power of Jesus That He Allows Us to Walk In?
Thank You, Praise You Lord Jesus for teaching me/us to take no thought for our lives in Matthew 6 and blessing us to take Your thoughts for our lives in what You say about us Lord Jesus!
The many, many times I read take no thought for your life, I didn't understand what that truly meant as I imagine a lot of others don't as well. I interpreted it as not thinking at all, yet where God/Jesus had me at the time was in a place of pure misery, pure torment, pure pain so I was going to end my life and in asking Jesus for help one last time after posting a prayer on this website, I opened up the Bible randomly and only read take no thought for your life. Matthew 6 has a good example.
Even though I had it somewhat wrong as Jesus would later Bless me with His understanding, I was like, alright God, sounds like a great way to end my life. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought being my only thought and it was going to be my only thought for the rest of my life. After doing that for an hour or longer I noticed something, I had no pains and I had Jesus resume or restore His Holy Spirit in me in a mighty way, a powerful way. Can you imagine? I found myself Praising Jesus and Thanking Jesus for what He was doing for me! Hopefully many of you recall reading this in the prayer postings I post for everyone.
Later on I learned to take God/Jesus' thoughts for myself, claiming His promises, His statements! I learned that while I was taking no thought that I could still do things, I can drive my car, I can stand in line at a store claiming God/Jesus' Word's for myself like I am the Righteousness of God in Christ, no weapon formed against me can prosper in Jesus, I am at peace with the beasts of the field in Jesus I learned from the Book of Job, I am in league with the rocks which is other people with me in the world as Christ said He can raise up children of Israel out of the rocks, no sickness is allowed in me nor my house in Jesus.
Whenever worries or stress try to attack us we can speak; I take no thought for myself in Jesus! How can sinful thoughts attack us if we refuse to think about them? The truth is that if we aren't thinking about ourselves miracles can and will happen for us. Can we raise the dead? Not if we think we can't, right? Why do we think for ourselves when Jesus says we are not our own? Jesus is Amazing, His truth, His teachings are Amazing!
Not thinking about ourselves is a place where real true miracles can happen for us through Jesus! What stops a miracle from happening? Our thinking causes us to speak the opposite way of what we would like our miracles to accomplish. We become wishy washy, tossed to and fro like the waves, double minded. If we can stop our thoughts from betraying us, there is no telling what we can do. Jesus said because He went to the Father that He sends us His Holy Spirit and Jesus says because He does or did that, we can do greater things than He did and because He says that, I believe, help thou my unbelief!
If we do the Teachings of Jesus we are in fact following Jesus! I hope this helps someone!
