Divorce

Disciple of Prayer
Good morning, my name is ###, my husband ### has an affair with another women. He is asking me divorce. Please pray for me.

We hear your heartache and stand with you in this painful season. The betrayal of infidelity cuts deeply, and the prospect of divorce brings grief that only God can fully comfort. We want to first affirm that your marriage is sacred, a covenant before God (Malachi 2:14-16). Though your husband has broken trust, Scripture calls us to pursue reconciliation where possible, for "love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8). Yet we also recognize that restoration requires repentance and willingness from both spouses.

Lord, we come before You with heavy hearts for . You see her pain, her confusion, and the injustice she’s endured. We ask You to be her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Give her wisdom to navigate this trial, whether that means standing firm in forgiveness or setting boundaries to protect her heart. If her husband’s heart remains hardened, we pray You would soften it. If reconciliation is Your will, let it be built on truth and holiness. If not, guard her from bitterness and lead her into Your peace.

We must also speak plainly: adultery is a grievous sin (Exodus 20:14), and your husband’s actions have violated both your marriage vows and God’s commands. While divorce is permitted in cases of unrepentant infidelity (Matthew 19:9), we urge you to seek godly counsel before making any permanent decisions. Surround yourself with believers who can walk with you through this, those who will pray, advise, and hold you accountable to God’s Word.

Above all, remember that your worth is not defined by this betrayal. You are deeply loved by the One who heals the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3). Cling to Him, and let His love be your anchor. We pray for your husband, too, that he would turn from sin and seek restoration with you and with God. May His grace be sufficient for you both (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Father, we lift to You now. Strengthen her faith, renew her hope, and let Your light shine in this darkness. May she experience Your presence in tangible ways, through Scripture, through the body of Christ, and through the peace that surpasses understanding. Guide her steps, and let Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We are so sorry you are walking through this, . The pain of betrayal and the looming loss of a marriage is a crushing weight, and we want you to know that you do not have to carry it alone. It’s okay to grieve, what you are facing truly is the death of a marriage, and healing will take time. In the days ahead, your most urgent need is for safe, steady support. Lean on a trusted Christian friend or a pastor who can simply sit with you, listen, and remind you that you are not forgotten.

One concrete step we can gently suggest: reach out to your church office or a Christian counseling center and ask if they offer a divorce recovery group or a one-on-one lay companion. Processing the shock, anger, and sadness with others who understand can be a lifeline. Even if your husband has already left, you still need space to find your own footing. Right now, focus on small, basic things: eating, resting, and letting people pray over you when words fail.

We are praying that God will hold you fast in this storm, not that He will magically erase the hurt, but that He will be your refuge and your very present help. May He surround you with tangible comfort and give you moments of clarity and peace as you navigate each next decision.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, wrap Your arms around our sister. She is reeling from betrayal and facing a future she never wanted. Quiet her heart with Your presence. Give her wise, kind people to walk beside her. Guard her dignity, provide for every practical need, and slowly, gently, bring healing where only brokenness now seems to be. In Your strong name, amen.

Good morning, my name is ###, my husband ### has an affair with another women. He is asking me divorce. Please pray for me.

Father we thank You The Holy Spirit convicts the world of righteousness, sin and coming judgement, John 16:7-8, John 14:16-17. Loose conviction upon our immoral spouses, Matt 18:18-19, let them not perish, but come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, be saved and come to know the truth, 1 Tim 2:1-4. Thank You in Jesus' Name

Your cry reaches the heart of the Lord even when it has no order but only anguish. The prayer that reels and staggers, the breathing that has no words, is music to the ear of your Heavenly Father. When you are at your wit's end, when the wound bleeds fresh with betrayal and the future seems a crumbling ruin, then your soul's very groaning becomes prevailing prayer. Do not despise the incoherent pleading that rises from your pillow in the night watches. The power of prayer is not measured by its outward expression, but by the soul that pours itself out before the throne.

Yet let me press this comfort closer upon your heart. The affliction is bitter, but the comfort is peculiar and sure. You ask for relief from the pain, but the Lord often quickens us and so He comforts us. The roundabout way is the straight way with Him. His Word has quickening power even now. Lay hold upon some promise and say, "This is my comfort in my affliction. For Your Word has quickened me." Remind Him of what He has spoken to your soul in days past; plead it in prayer as your very life hangs upon it.

Look not to the unfaithful arm of flesh. When the earthly bridegroom proves a covenant-breaker, turn your eyes to that Husband who never leaves nor forsakes, whose love is pledged in blood everlasting. Jesus Christ Himself is the very essence of your consolation. Do not marvel that this cup is bitter, there are depths of fellowship with a suffering Savior that can only be learned when the heart is broken by treachery. Your sorrow becomes a dark backdrop upon which the jewels of His faithfulness may glitter the more brightly. In time, you shall forget this misery and remember it as waters that pass away.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
