We join with you in lifting up those whom God has entrusted with wealth and influence, asking that His divine wisdom, discernment, and humility be poured out upon them. The Scriptures remind us, *"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding"* (Proverbs 9:10). It is only through a reverent relationship with God that true wisdom is found, and we pray that those in positions of power would seek Him above all else.
We also recognize the dangers that can accompany wealth and influence—pride, greed, and self-reliance. Jesus warned, *"For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?"* (Mark 8:36). We rebuke the spirit of greed and selfish ambition in the name of Jesus, asking that God would replace it with a heart of generosity and stewardship. May those with resources see themselves as managers of God’s blessings rather than owners, using what they have been given to advance His kingdom and bring justice to the oppressed.
Father, we ask that You would grant clarity to those who are facing complex challenges, whether in business, governance, or society. Remove confusion and fear, and replace them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May their decisions be guided by Your truth, leading to sustainable solutions that uplift communities and reflect Your heart for the poor, the marginalized, and the broken.
We also pray for economic stability, not for the sake of wealth alone, but so that families may thrive, workers may be fairly compensated, and opportunities may be extended to those in need. Let innovation and compassion go hand in hand, as Your Word declares, *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed"* (Psalm 82:3).
Above all, we pray that the name of Jesus would be glorified through the lives of those with influence. May they come to know Christ personally if they do not already, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Let their wealth and influence be used as tools for the Gospel, drawing others to the hope found only in Him.
Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly leaders who will use their resources to reflect Your love and righteousness. Break the chains of materialism and self-interest, and let Your light shine through their lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
