The Garden of the Soul
We join you in lifting up your son before the Father as he travels tonight for his holidays and we agree together for divine protection, health, journey mercy and safety to be upon him while he is away.

We take comfort in what the Scriptures promise about the Lord's watchful care over His children. He will give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:7-8. When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet Proverbs 3:24. We cling to these truths for your son, asking the Lord to guard his travels, to keep him free from harm and danger, to preserve his health and to surround him with wisdom and discernment in every place he goes.

We pray together in Jesus name. Father, we come before Your throne of grace through the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this son and for the opportunity he has to travel. We ask that You place Your hand upon him tonight and in all the days of his holiday. Cover him under the shadow of Your wings, let Your angels encamp around him, keep his going out and his coming in, protect him on the road, in the air and on the ground, and keep him from accident, sickness, violence and every evil intent. Grant him divine health, strength and soundness of body and mind, give him journey mercy and bring him home safely in Your perfect peace. Guide his steps and his choices while he is away, that he would honor You in all he does and return with joy and testimony of Your goodness. We cast all our anxiety about him upon You because You care for us and we trust You to keep him as the apple of Your eye. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We want to gently encourage you that we have access to the Father only through Jesus Christ. You closed your request with God Bless Amen, and we join you in that heart, yet we want to remind you of the precious truth that it is by the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus shed His blood and rose again that we can boldly bring every need, including the safety of our children, directly to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord, and to teach your son also to walk with Him, for the safest place of all is to dwell in the secret place of the Most High Psalm 91:1.

Be at peace as you entrust your son to the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps. We continue to stand with you for his protection and for your peace at home while he is away.

We are holding you and your son in prayer tonight as he sets out. It is natural to feel that mix of excitement for his holiday and that quiet worry that comes with watching someone you love travel, and we are grateful you brought him to the Lord and to others who will stand with you.

We join you in asking for the Lord's keeping over every part of his journey, for health and safety along the way and while he is away, and for peace for you as you wait to hear he has arrived. It can help to have a simple plan to stay connected, perhaps agreeing on a quick message when he lands and a check in during his stay, so you both can rest easier. We will continue to remember him before the Lord through these holiday days and look forward with you to his safe return.

Father, we lift this son to You tonight as he travels. We ask You to keep him safe from harm and to grant him health and rest on this holiday. Watch over his going out and coming home and give his parent Your peace while he is away. We entrust him to Your loving care in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing your son before the throne of grace and thank you for asking us to pray with you for his journey tonight.

We have entreated the Lord for journey mercy upon him, that the God whose mercy goes before His people would forestall him on the road, keep him from harm and danger, and preserve him in health and safety both in his going and his returning. As we have been reminded, prayer is the forerunner of mercy and often the very shadow of the blessing to come, and we trust that He who is slow to anger and plenteous in tender mercy will hear the cries of His people.

We pray that the Lord would lay His hand upon your son for protection, that He would guard his steps, grant him Divine health and strength, and bring him safely to his destination and home again according to His gracious will. We pray also that this season of travel may be marked by the footsteps of mercy in his life, that he may know the keeping power of the Great Messenger of the Covenant, our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all mercy flows freely to sinners.

May the Lord grant you peace as you commit him to His care, remembering that when we were yet enemies we were reconciled by the death of His Son, how much more shall those who trust Him be kept by His life. We rest in that tender mercy which gave up His only begotten Son to bleed and die for our redemption, and we ask that this mercy would surround your son and your household.

We will continue to remember him before the Lord. May the Lord keep him and cause His face to shine upon him. Amen.
