“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18


Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

We join you in bringing this situation before the Lord and we agree with you in asking in Jesus' name that your former landlord and those around him would submit to God and accept His divine guidance.

We know how difficult and wearing it can be when people act in a wild and disrespectful way and cause trouble. Scripture speaks directly to this when it says Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. Proverbs 29:18. When people reject the Lord's instruction and His law, restraint is cast off and trouble follows, but obedience brings blessing and joy. We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to see this truth.

We also remember that we are called to respond not with retaliation but with prayer and trust in God's justice. Jesus taught us to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44. And we are reminded Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. We pray that you will be able to release this burden to the Lord and find peace as you trust Him to deal justly with what has happened.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift up this former landlord and the people around him to You. We ask that You would soften his heart, convict him of any wrongdoing, and draw him to submit to You and to Your divine guidance. Bring him to repentance and to obedience to Your law, that he may turn from wild and disrespectful ways and find the joy and blessedness that comes from walking in Your ways. We ask that You would bring order where there has been trouble, and that You would restrain any further harm. We also lift up the one who has been affected by this trouble. Grant peace that passes understanding, guard the heart from bitterness, and help to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. Lead and guide each step forward and provide protection and restoration where there has been loss or distress. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord's guidance for yourself, to stay in His Word and in prayer, and as much as it depends on you, to pursue peace. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18. The Lord sees what has happened and He is faithful to lead those who trust and obey Him.

We hear how wearying this has been to deal with a former landlord who has been wild and disrespectful and caused a lot of trouble. When someone connected to your home acts that way, it can leave you feeling on edge even after you have moved on, and it makes sense you would long for God to bring calm and change to his heart.

We are joining you in praying that he would become willing to seek God and be led by Him. That kind of guidance is not just a momentary feeling but a willingness to walk in God's ways, and we can ask the Lord to soften his heart to want that, while also asking God to guard your own peace in the meantime.

One steady step that often helps when there has been ongoing tension like this is to keep clear, calm boundaries going forward. Keeping a simple written record of what was said and when, keeping communication in writing when you can, and bringing in a trusted pastor or other neutral, wise person if you need help navigating any remaining contact can keep things from escalating and give you clarity. If you ever feel threatened, please reach out right away to people you trust nearby and to local help.

Father, we lift this former landlord and those around him to You. Work in his heart and make him willing to turn to You and to walk in a different way. Where there has been disrespect and trouble, bring restraint and peace. We ask You to cover the one who prayed with protection, wisdom for each interaction, and quietness of heart as they trust You to lead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your prayer concerning your former landlord has been laid before the Lord, and we join you in bringing it to the mercy seat in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father.

You have well quoted the wise saying, When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild, but whoever obeys the law is joyful. Where the guidance of God is rejected, the heart runs the mad career of sin, and trouble must follow, for there is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. The wildness and disrespect of which you speak are the sure fruit of a heart not yet at peace with its Maker.

We are reminded that God Himself is the great Landlord and we are but tenants in His house. Every man holds his life and his dwelling upon lease from Him, and must one day give account for how he has occupied. To live as if we were owners unto ourselves is to run up arrears that we can never pay, until we throw ourselves upon the mercy of that Royal Owner who is rich in grace. Our prayer is that this man, and those round about him who have joined him in troubling you, may be brought to see that they dwell in God’s house and must answer to Him.

We pray that the Lord will disturb any false peace in which he now trusts and bring him to sue for true peace with God. That peace is not found in mere resolve or in outward reformation, but through an Ambassador nominated of God, namely His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other foundation for peace that can be laid. The blood of Jesus alone whispers peace within, because it has discharged the enormous debt of sin for all who believe. We entreat the Lord to show him his need of this Saviour, to humble him under a sense of sin, and to lead him to receive Jesus as his All in All. Then he would no longer run wild, but would find that to be at peace with God is for his present happiness and for his eternal welfare.

We also pray for you, that in the midst of this trouble you may know that perfect peace which Christ gives to His own. That peace is in Him, and always in Him. Though sorrows surge round and though men deal harshly, you may have peace because Jesus is on the throne and His providence orders all things for good to them that love Him. Continue in prayer and watch thereunto, looking for the answer, for God hears the cries of His people and will in His own season speak peace unto them.

May the Lord turn the heart of your former landlord to submit to divine guidance, to obey the Word hidden in the heart, and to live henceforth not for himself but for Christ’s glory. And may He keep you in joyful obedience until He calls you to that other land where the tenant shall dwell with his Lord forever.

We commend this matter to Him who is our peace, asking all in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We join you in bringing this matter before the Lord and we hear the weight of what you have endured with your former landlord.

You have quoted Proverbs well, that where there is no vision the people run wild, but joyful is the one who keeps the law. We see that truth in what you describe, and we pray that God will bring order where there has been disorder and peace where there has been trouble.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other way to the Father except through Him, that the Lord would work in the heart of this man and in those around him. We ask that God would humble him, open his eyes to his need for repentance, and draw him to submit himself to divine guidance. We pray that He would turn from disrespect and harmful actions and learn obedience, and that the wildness would be replaced by a fear of God and a desire to walk in His ways.

We also pray for you, that the Lord would guard your heart from bitterness and keep you joyful as you continue to obey His word. Do not seek conflict for its own sake, but commit your cause to God who judges justly. He sees what has been taken and what trouble has been caused, and He is able to protect what truly matters and to give you wisdom and peace as you move forward. May He provide for your needs, give you quietness, and help you to despise the strife that comes from earthly things and to treasure what is above.

We ask the Father to set a boundary around any further harm, to restrain what is wild, and to use even this trial to strengthen your faith and to bring others to know His mercy. We entrust both you and this landlord to the gracious hand of God, trusting that He desires all to come to repentance and to life in Christ.
