Divine guidance

Kensem

Beloved of All
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18

Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

We join you in prayer regarding this situation with your former landlord and we agree that divine guidance is essential, for without it people indeed cast off restraint.

You quoted Proverbs 29:18 so well, Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. Proverbs 29:18 We see the truth of this in what you have described, that when a person and those around him do not submit to God and His Word, the result is wild, disrespectful and troublesome behavior. We rebuke that spirit of lawlessness and disrespect, for it does not align with God's call to live in peace, to show honor to others and to walk in obedience. The Lord desires all people to come under His counsel, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8 But when that counsel is rejected, confusion and strife follow.

We also hear your heart to see this man submit to God rather than simply wanting punishment for him, and that reflects the love of Christ. Jesus teaches us, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, Matthew 5:44 and we want to obey that together with you. We also remember, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 We can trust God to be both just and merciful, to convict where conviction is needed and to bring order where there has been trouble.

We pray together in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name we find hope for transformation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this former landlord to You. We ask that You soften his heart and grant him repentance, that he would submit to You and accept Your divine guidance. Draw him and those around him out of wild and disrespectful ways and bring them under the restraint and joy of Your law. Give him wisdom to see the trouble he has caused and a desire to walk in righteousness and peace. We ask that You also pour out Your wisdom on our brother or sister who has endured this trouble, that You would grant protection, peace and restoration where there has been stress and loss. Help them to keep their eyes on You and to obey Your Word with joy, and give them grace to forgive as You have forgiven us. Let Your will be done in this situation and let Your name be glorified through conviction, through justice and through mercy. We ask that if this man does not yet know You as Savior, that You would draw him to salvation through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. We trust You to instruct and counsel all of us according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek divine guidance for yourself daily, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. James 1:5 Stay rooted in the Word, continue to pray for those who have caused trouble, and trust that God sees, God judges righteously and God is able to turn even a wild heart toward joyful obedience. We stand with you for God's peace to guard your heart and for His guidance to prevail over this situation.

We hear how wearing this has been with your former landlord and those around him, and how much the disrespect and ongoing trouble has taken out of you. It makes sense you would long for him to turn toward God and live in a more steady, respectful way.

We are joining you in praying for that, that the Lord would draw him toward humility and wisdom, and that the wider circle of conflict would quiet. We are also praying for you, for peace and steadiness while this has felt so unsettled.

One thing that has helped others walking through prolonged tension like this is to keep a simple, calm record of what happens and to stay connected to a trusted pastor or other wise counsel in your community if you need to think through next steps. That way you do not have to carry it alone or make decisions in the heat of the moment, and you can keep healthy boundaries while you continue to entrust the situation to God.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this former landlord and those around him to You and ask that You would work in their hearts and lead them toward Your guidance. We lift our friend to You too, asking for Your protection, wisdom and peace over daily life and for clear direction in how to navigate what is ahead. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join you in seeking His gracious hand upon this matter.

You have well quoted the Proverb, When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild, but whoever obeys the law is joyful. Where the light of God's Word is rejected, men walk in darkness, and darkness must bring confusion and strife. For God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all, and He can have no fellowship with darkness. He deals with things in the light, treating them as they are, and if any man is to walk with God he must come and stand in the light and present himself before Him as he is.

We will pray in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, that your former landlord may be brought to submit himself to God and to accept that divine guidance which he has hitherto refused. We ask that the Lord will show him his true condition, that he may see sin in himself and feel his need of the blood of Jesus Christ which cleanses from all sin. It is the Lord's work to transform the lion into a lamb and the raven into a dove, and He is able to take a wild and disrespectful heart and make it humble and obedient. May the Lord in mercy turn him from his wild course and bring him to love the law of the Lord, for great peace have they which love thy law.

And for you, pressed as you have been by trouble and by the unkind dealings of others, we pray that you may know that perfect peace which Christ alone can give. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when sorrows are surging round and duties press hard upon you. On Jesus' bosom nothing but calm is found. Leave your sorrow with Jesus, bear your sorrow with Him, and you shall find that to love His law is to cease from fretting and to enter into rest. Though you may not have peace with all men, for the Lord has put enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent, you may have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and that peace will keep your heart.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who art light and with whom is no darkness, look in mercy upon this man who has run wild for want of Thy guidance. Bring him into the light, convict him of sin, and draw him to Thy Son Jesus Christ, that he may be saved and made to walk in obedience to Thy holy law. Restrain his wildness and the trouble caused by those around him, and let Thy perfect peace rule in the heart of Thy servant who has sought Thee in prayer. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer request has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before God in the name of Jesus Christ. You have quoted rightly that when people do not accept divine guidance they run wild, but whoever obeys the law is joyful, and we pray that this truth would take hold.

We pray that the former landlord would submit himself to God and accept His guidance, turning from what has been wild and disrespectful and causing trouble. We ask that God in His mercy would open his eyes to see his need for Christ, grant him repentance and a humble heart, and lead him to walk in obedience so that he may know true joy and peace. We pray also for those around him who have joined in this behavior, that God would bring conviction and draw them to Himself.

For you, we pray that God would keep you in His peace. Scripture teaches us to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear, without murmurings and disputings, giving thanks in all things and humbling ourselves before Him. Even when others act unjustly or cause conflict, we are called to be at peace with all people as far as it depends on us. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. God is not a God of war and fighting, but the God of peace, and He delights when His people remember no evil and do not return conflict for conflict.

Remember that conflicts often spring from the things of this life, from covetousness and vainglory, but our true treasure is above and cannot be stolen. When we are wronged, the greater reward comes when we respond with nobleness of spirit, waiting quietly before God and standing firm when needed, rather than rushing into strife. The God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly, and His grace will sustain you.

So let us pray together: Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We ask that You would work in the heart of this former landlord and bring him to submit to Your divine guidance. Turn him from wildness and disrespect to reverence for You and respect for others. Grant him repentance and faith in Christ, and lead him in the way of joyful obedience. Guard the one who has prayed, give rest and protection from trouble, and help him to live without murmuring, with gratitude and humility, pursuing peace and imitating Your Son. Let Your will be done and let Your peace rule. Amen.
