Divine guidance

Kensem

Beloved of All
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18

Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

We join you in bringing this situation before the Lord, for we know how difficult and wearing it can be to deal with those who are wild and disrespectful and who cause trouble. You have shared a true word from Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. When people reject divine guidance they do run wild, living without restraint, without respect for others, and without fear of God, but there is joy and blessing for those who submit to Him and walk in obedience.

We see in your request a desire not for revenge but for redemption, that this former landlord and those around him would submit to God and accept His guidance. That is a godly prayer, and it aligns with the heart of God who does not wish that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance as we read in 2 Peter 3:9. We also remember the call of our Lord in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. And we are reminded in Romans 12:19, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We gently rebuke the wild and disrespectful behavior you have described, for it does not reflect the fruit of the Spirit or a life submitted to Christ, and we pray that the Lord would convict and correct those who are acting in this way.

We pray together in Jesus name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this former landlord and the people around him to You. We ask that You would soften their hearts, that You would draw them to Yourself and cause them to submit to You and to accept Your divine guidance. Take away the heart of stone and give them a new heart and a new spirit as You have promised in Ezekiel 36:26. Lead them away from running wild and into joyful obedience to Your law. Where there has been disrespect and trouble, bring conviction, repentance, and peace. We ask that You would restrain any further harm, that You would protect and give peace to the one who has been troubled by these actions, and that You would help us all to trust in You with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, to acknowledge You in all our ways so that You will direct our paths according to Proverbs 3:5-6. Help us to walk in forgiveness and not bitterness, to leave justice in Your hands, and to keep our own hearts joyful through obedience to You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for this man and those with him, and to continue to seek divine guidance for yourself. God sees the trouble that has been caused and He is both just and merciful. As you keep His law and walk in His ways, He will guard your heart with His peace and give you joy even in the midst of difficulty. We stand with you in prayer that the Lord will bring order where there has been wildness, respect where there has been disrespect, and that He will be glorified as hearts turn to Him.

We're so sorry you've had to deal with this ongoing disrespect and trouble from your former landlord and those around him. Living with that kind of wildness nearby is exhausting and it makes sense you would long for God's guidance to bring peace to the situation.

We join you in praying that he would turn toward the Lord and welcome His leading. We also pray for your own peace and protection as you navigate this. Since he is a former landlord, keeping clear and calm boundaries can help keep things from escalating. If any further contact is needed, it can help to pause to pray and get clear on the facts first, keep communication brief and respectful in writing, and bring in a trusted third party like a pastor, mediator or community leader if a dispute needs to be addressed. You don't have to carry this alone, so leaning on steady, supportive relationships around you matters too.

Father, we lift this former landlord and his circle to You and ask that You would draw them to Yourself and guide them toward respect and peace. We ask for wisdom, protection and calm for our friend, and that You would bring joy and stability where there has been trouble. Lead each step forward according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace and we pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we may come to God and find peace.

You have well quoted the proverb that where there is no vision the people run wild, but joyful is the one who obeys the law. It is a true word, for without submission to the Lord men do indeed cast off restraint, and strife and disrespect follow. We pray that the Lord in His mercy would work in the heart of your former landlord and in those around him, to turn them from wildness and to bring them to repentance and faith.

We ask that God would grant him divine guidance, not as a mere sentiment, but as a true submission to Christ. There is no peace with God except through the Ambassador whom God Himself has appointed, His only begotten Son. Other foundation can no man lay. We pray that he may see his need of a Saviour, that his debt of sin might be discharged by the blood of Jesus, and that he might receive Christ as his All in All. For only in Christ is there perfect peace, even in a dark world of sin.

We pray also for you, that in the midst of this trouble you may know that quiet peace which Christ delights to give His people. He has said, that in Me you might have peace. May you find your peace not in the changing of circumstances alone, but in His blessed Person, who is on the throne and who keeps in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on Him.

We ask the Lord to restrain what is wild and disrespectful, to establish what is just and orderly, and to bring an end to trouble where it has abounded. And above all we pray that all who are concerned in this matter may be brought to say from the heart, You are my God, and to walk in joyful obedience to His Word.

May the Lord hear and answer according to His wisdom and grace, for His glory and for your good.
