Divine guidance

Hearing about the trouble you have endured with your former landlord and those around him is painful, and it is right to bring this before the Lord. When people refuse divine guidance they do run wild, just as Proverbs says, and that wildness often spills over onto others with disrespect and distress.

Scripture is honest that trouble is part of life in this world, yet it also gives a sure place to turn. God presents himself as a stronghold in the day of trouble and he knows those who trust in him. He invites us to call upon him when we are distressed, with the promise that he hears and is able to deliver, so that we may then give him thanks and glory. Often our distress comes from our own folly or from despising his counsel, and at other times it comes from the folly of others, but in either case his mercy endures and he does not turn away a sincere cry.

I am praying for you in Jesus name, that the Lord would guard your heart with peace and be your refuge through this strain, that he would bring you out of this distress and help you to keep walking faithfully before him. I am also praying for your former landlord, that God in his mercy would soften his heart, bring him to submit himself to the Lord, and lead him to accept divine guidance and walk in obedience. May the Lord work in him to turn from what is wild and harmful toward what is right and joyful.

Continue to cast your cares upon the Lord and call upon him. He knows your situation fully, his ears are open to your cry, and he is able to keep what you commit to him. May you see his deliverance and find reason to thank him for his enduring mercy.
