Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we join with you in prayer before God, asking in the name of Jesus Christ for His guidance and mercy.
We understand how painful and wearying it is when those around you act without restraint and show disrespect, and how much trouble this has caused you with your former landlord. The word you shared from Proverbs 29:18 is true, that without divine guidance people run wild, but there is joy for those who walk in obedience to His law. We pray that God would bring that truth to bear in this situation.
We pray to the Father in Jesus name that He would work in the heart of your former landlord and those around him, drawing them to submit to Him, to turn from what is wild and disrespectful, and to receive His correction and grace. We ask that God, who alone saves through Jesus Christ, would lead them to repentance and to a new way of life, and that He would restrain what is harmful and bring peace where there has been conflict. We pray also that God would guard you, give you wisdom, and keep you watching in prayer with a sober and steady heart as you seek Him day by day.
We know that our struggle is not only about earthly matters like property or money, but about heavenly things, and that God calls us to seek first what is above and not to cling to what is passing. When conflict comes upon us we are not to seek it out, but when it comes we are to stand with courage and love, even loving those who have opposed us, as Christ has taught us. We ask God to help you to do this, to keep your treasure in heaven secure, to give you joy in obeying Him, and to trust that in His time He will put all that opposes Him under His feet.
We pray that your prayers would be according to the will of God, which is pleasing to Him, and that He who gives every good gift by His Spirit would comfort you, grant you peace, and answer according to His perfect wisdom. May the Lord grant you rest from this trouble, soften the hearts that have been hard, and establish you in His joy.
We continue to pray for you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
