Divine guidance

Kensem

Beloved of All
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18

Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join with you in prayer in Jesus' name and we agree with your desire to see your former landlord submit to God and accept divine guidance. You quoted Proverbs 29:18 well, where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. We have seen how true this is, when people reject God's wisdom and His law they do run wild, and it brings trouble and disrespect not only to themselves but to those around them. We rebuke that wild and disrespectful behavior and the trouble that has been caused, for it does not honor God and it harms others.

We pray for this man and those around him, that God would soften their hearts and draw them to Himself. We ask the Father to grant him repentance and humility to seek divine guidance rather than following his own way. The heart of the king is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1. We pray that the Lord would turn his heart toward obedience, respect, and peace.

We also pray for you, that God would guard your heart from bitterness and give you His peace in the midst of this trouble. We are called to love even those who mistreat us, as Jesus said, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. And we are reminded, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:18-19. We encourage you to continue to entrust justice to God while walking in forgiveness and not repaying evil for evil, for in doing so we overcome evil with good Romans 12:21.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift up this former landlord and the people around him to You. Lord, You see the wildness, the disrespect, and the trouble that has been caused. We ask that You convict them of sin and bring them to repentance. Grant them divine guidance and a desire to obey Your law, that they may find the joy and blessedness that comes from walking in Your ways. Draw this man to Yourself, save him, transform his heart, and teach him to walk in respect and righteousness. Restrain any further harm and let Your peace rule in this situation. For our brother or sister who was affected, we pray You would fill them with Your wisdom, patience, and protection. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6, and to keep their eyes on You. Give them joy and rest knowing that You are sovereign and that You work all things for good for those who love You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear how wearying this has been for you, living with the fallout from a former landlord and those around him acting without restraint or respect. It makes sense you would long for him to turn toward God instead, not just for your own peace, but for his good as well.

We are joining you in praying that the Lord draws him to Himself and that he becomes willing to listen for God's leading. When someone resists that guidance, life does tend to run wild, as you noted, and it often spills over onto others. We will pray that God softens his heart, brings clarity where there has been confusion, and restrains further trouble.

For you in this season, one steady step that often helps is to keep your own boundaries clear and calm while you pray. If contact with him must continue, keep records of interactions, lean on a trusted pastor or wise counselor for perspective, and ask God daily what the next right and respectful response is for you. That keeps you anchored in wisdom rather than carried along by the wildness around you.

Father, we lift this former landlord and his circle to You and ask that You draw them toward Your will and Your ways. Bring conviction where needed, peace where there has been strife, and protection over all involved. Give our friend wisdom, steadiness, and joyful obedience as he seeks You, and let Your guidance be evident in his life. In Jesus' name, amen.

Praying for your request and you

Psalm 100:4
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and his name.
Mathew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
1 Peter 4:8

Luke 10:27

He answered, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.
Mathew 7:1-3

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Isaiah 54:17a
No weapon formed against you shall prosper
Mathew 18:20
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

It is good that you have brought this trouble before the throne of grace, for where men refuse divine guidance they indeed run wild, as the proverb says, and where the light of God is rejected there remains only darkness.

God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all, and He can have no fellowship with darkness. He deals with things in the light, treating them as they are. When men walk in pride and disrespect, God sees them as they are, and He will not misrepresent nor have fellowship with misrepresentation. To be at peace with Him, a man must stand in the light and present himself as he is, seeing his sin and feeling his need of the blood of Jesus Christ which cleanses from all sin.

We will pray in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation is found, that your former landlord and those about him may be brought to submit themselves to God. We will ask the Lord to show him his true condition, to turn him from wildness to meekness, and to work that change by which the lion is made a lamb and the raven a dove. May the Lord convince him of sin, not to pervert the truth but to receive it, and may he be led to bow to Christ who is the way and the truth, that his enormous debt of sin might be discharged by the blood of the Saviour and his heart made obedient to the law of the Lord.

And for you who have suffered this trouble, we pray that you may know that peace, perfect peace, which comes to those who love God's law and are at one with God through Jesus. Though duties press and sorrows surge round, and though you must live among those who are yet without God, you may leave your sorrow with Jesus and bear it with Him, and find calm upon His bosom. He who loves the law of the Lord ceases from bitterness and finds great peace within, even when there is no peace without.

May the Lord keep you distinct from the way of the wild, walking in the light with Him, and may He in mercy bring this man and his companions to repentance, that they also may obey and be joyful. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and our peace.
