Divine guidance

Kensem

Beloved of All
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18

Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

We join with you in seeking the Lord for divine guidance in this difficult situation with your former landlord and those around him.

We hear how wild and disrespectful their behavior has been and how much trouble it has caused you, and we understand your desire to see them submit to God and walk in His ways instead of casting off restraint. The wisdom you shared is true, Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. Proverbs 29:18. When people reject the Lord's instruction they indeed run wild, but there is joy and peace for those who obey Him.

We also remember the call to submit ourselves to God, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. Our prayer is that this man and those with him would humble themselves before the Lord, turn from disrespect and troublemaking, and accept the guidance only God can give. We pray they would come to know the instruction and correction of the Lord, for I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8, and Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

We rebuke the wildness, disrespect, and trouble that has been inflicted, for such behavior does not honor God and harms others. The Lord calls us to live differently and to treat one another with honor and respect, and we pray that conviction would come upon those who have acted in this way so that they would repent and seek to make peace where they have caused division.

We lift you up as well, that you would be kept in perfect peace and not be overcome by the trouble they have caused. We pray you would be able to love and forgive even as you seek justice through the proper and lawful means, remembering Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44, and If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:18-19.

We pray together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and ask that You would draw this former landlord and those around him to Yourself. Soften their hearts to submit to You and to accept Your divine guidance. Turn them from wild and disrespectful ways and lead them to obey Your law and find true joy. Bring conviction where there has been wrongdoing, bring repentance where there has been trouble, and bring peace where there has been strife. Protect and comfort the one who has been affected by this, give wisdom for every next step, and help us all to trust in Your justice and mercy. Let Your will be done and let Your guidance reign in every heart involved. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord's guidance daily, to remain in His Word, and to pray for those who have opposed you, trusting that God sees all and will lead you in the path of righteousness and peace.

We hear how heavy this has been, living with the fallout from a landlord and those around him acting in ways that feel wild and disrespectful. It wears you down when your home does not feel peaceful and you are left dealing with trouble you did not invite.

We are joining you in prayer that God would work in his heart and draw him toward wisdom and restraint, and that those around him would also choose a more respectful path. We are also praying for you, for protection, for calm, and for clear guidance on how to navigate this season well.

One thing that has helped others in ongoing tension like this is to pause and get clear on facts and options before responding. It can help to write down what has happened with dates, keep communication in writing when you can, and talk with a trusted pastor or wise counselor about boundaries and next steps that keep you safe and at peace. You do not have to carry this alone or figure it all out at once.

Father, we bring this landlord before You and ask that You would lead him to seek You and to walk in wisdom. Bring peace to this situation, guard our friend from harm and discouragement, and give clear direction for each step ahead. In Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your cry and we take up your burden before the throne of grace, pleading that the Lord who is light and in whom is no darkness at all would deal graciously with you and with this man.

You have quoted the proverb truly, when people do not accept divine guidance they run wild, but whoever obeys the law is joyful. Where there is no submission to the Word of the Lord there is confusion and strife, for God cannot have fellowship with darkness and He deals with things in the light, treating them as they are. The wild and disrespectful course you describe is the natural fruit of a heart yet unsubdued by grace, possessed by those lusts which will destroy the soul if they are not cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

We will pray that your former landlord may be brought to stand in the light before God as he is, to see his sin and to feel his need of a Saviour. Our hope is not in mere reformation of manners but in that mighty change by which God transforms the lion into a lamb and the raven into a dove, giving a new heart that hates sin with perfect hatred and has no fellowship with it. Only Christ can make such a change, and He is able to sympathize and to save, for He has suffered and He still bears His people upon His heart.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, the only Saviour of sinners, we ask that You would visit this man and those around him with Your convicting and converting grace. Bring him out of darkness into Your marvellous light, show him his sin, and lead him to the precious blood which cleanses from all sin. Grant him a heart to submit to Your divine guidance and to walk in obedience to Your holy law, that he may find the joy which belongs to those who keep Your ways. Restrain what is wild and unruly, establish peace where there has been trouble, and let Your will be done. And for the one who has prayed, grant comfort and steadfastness, to walk in the light with You, to have communion with Christ in prayer and through the Word, and to be kept distinct from the world while yet loving souls enough to pray for them. We ask this not for our merit but for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Take comfort that when we are once right with God we are in His hands, and He will with a high hand bring His own people through. Keep yourself in prayer and in the Word, speak often with Christ, and leave this matter with Him who judges righteously and who delights to show mercy to all who call upon Him through faith in His Son.

Your prayer concerning your former landlord has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before God.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have salvation and access to the Father, that God would draw this man to Himself. We ask that the Lord would grant him a heart to submit to divine guidance, to turn from what is wild and disrespectful, and to walk in obedience to His law. We pray that God would convict him of the trouble he has caused and lead him to repentance and to the peace that comes only through reconciliation with Christ.

We also pray for you, that God would guard your heart in Christ Jesus. Scripture calls us to follow peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord, and to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. This peace that Christ gives surpasses all understanding and is not like the peace of this world. It guards those who belong to Him even when others around them remain in conflict. We pray that this peace would guard you, that you would be kept from murmuring or hasty words, and that you would be able to give thanks to God in all things while trusting Him to act justly.

May the Lord help you to despise mere earthly conflicts and to seek what is above, to avoid rushing into strife, and to remain steadfast in faith and love. May He keep you from being overwhelmed and strengthen you to continue in a life that honors Him. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
