Your prayer for grace and favor as you serve in the health system is honoring to the Lord, and it is good that you bring it to Him with the blessing of Numbers 6:24 on your heart, that He would bless you and keep you.
God is always working according to His eternal purpose and plan for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Often we cannot see what good will come from a difficult or demanding season while we are in the middle of it, but we can cling by faith to what we do know, that all things are working together for good and that His ultimate intent is to conform us to the image of Jesus Christ. That is His predetermined purpose for you, even as you care for others.
Think of how the Lord positions a life well in advance for His purposes. He places people where they are for a reason, and He weaves together background, training, relationships and even hard providences so that when the moment comes, they are there to be used. He has brought you to this place in healthcare for a purpose. Your desire to strengthen teams, empower workers, improve patient care and develop solutions that help healthcare thrive can be a true offering to Him when it is done as service to Him.
The purpose of prayer is not to get God to accomplish our will, but to get His will done through us. So ask not only for open doors, but for wisdom to walk through the doors He opens and grace to accept the doors He keeps shut. He will accomplish His purpose. If we fail to be available, His purposes will not fail, but we will miss the reward and blessing of being the instrument He uses. Remain usable. Do not get sidetracked into living for your own purposes or seeking favor by compromising what is right in order to please the world. True favor surrounds the one who is set apart for God's exclusive use.
To be sanctified means to be set apart for that one purpose, as vessels set apart for worship were not to be used for any other purpose. Your life and your body belong to Him. When you surrender yourself as an instrument of righteousness for His use, He can work His eternal purpose in and through you. The Holy Spirit helps you in this, giving you excellence without pride, compassion without weariness, and courage to do what is right.
Do not feel you must help God out or force outcomes in your own strength. Trust Him to do His work in His way and in His time. As you walk according to His purposes, you can rest in His keeping, knowing He will preserve you and guide your decisions until your purpose is fulfilled, and that every step can be used to transform lives for His glory.
May the Lord grant you wisdom, excellence, compassion and courage. May He guide your decisions, your work and your relationships, and may His grace enable you to add meaningful value where He has planted you, all for the sake of Christ.
