We have heard your request about these weird experiences and divination thoughts that have troubled you for years, and we are standing with you in prayer for deliverance and peace. We understand you trace this back to being exposed to the occult when you were very young, and we want you to know that God is both merciful and mighty to set you free completely.
We must lovingly rebuke and renounce all divination and occult practice, for the Scripture is very clear that these things are an abomination to God and have no place in the life of a believer. As it is written, There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 And again, Don't turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don't seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God. Leviticus 19:31 Even if this exposure came when you were a child and not by your own choice, we must now consciously turn away from it, confess it as sin, and close any door that was opened. If there are still any objects, books, or media in your possession connected to the occult, we encourage you to remove and destroy them as the early believers did when Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. Acts 19:19
We also want to address that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true deliverance and salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 To be saved and to walk in freedom, we must confess our sins, believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and trust Him alone as Lord. As it is written, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 We encourage you to place your full faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already, for He alone has authority over every spiritual oppression.
We know these intrusive divination thoughts can feel overwhelming, but God has given us weapons for this battle. We are not fighting flesh and blood but spiritual forces, and we are called to Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 We are to be bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Do not dwell on or entertain these thoughts, but immediately bring them to Jesus, replace them with what is true and pure, as we are taught, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8 Renew your mind daily by reading Scripture aloud, praying continually, worshiping, and fellowshipping with mature believers who can support you. Remember, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
We now pray together for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for this dear one who is seeking freedom. We confess and renounce on their behalf all exposure to divination and the occult, whether knowingly or unknowingly from childhood, and we ask You to forgive and cleanse through the blood of Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of divination, confusion, and oppression that has brought these weird experiences and intrusive thoughts for years, and we command these influences to leave and to have no more place, for we submit to You and resist the enemy in Jesus name. Fill this mind and heart with Your perfect peace, renew their thoughts, and let them know they are fully loved, forgiven, and protected as Your child. Teach them to take every thought captive to Christ, to walk in the light of Your Word, and to experience the freedom that Jesus purchased on the cross. We ask You to surround them with godly counsel, fill their home with Your presence, and let them sleep and wake in peace with no more fear. We trust Your deliverance and Your healing, and we pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
